Wow...great improvement! Excellent before and after analysis.

What drills did she do to work on dropping the ball into the swing. I have the same issue of pushing off to the left (left handed) even though I have a really good cross step. I seem to want still want to move my body out of the way and it just all dumps left. Am I too forceful with the push away and maybe practice more of letting it fall?

This gal really can roll it. Pretty game and finish at the line.

Interesting that she doesn't push out with step 2 like everyone teaches...

I was thinking the same thing, very late hinge/pushaway.

She is a whole step too late in timing. Her shoulders are not open in the backswing and she closes the left shoulder creating tension during the downswing. These two details are a huge factor in making the approach more relaxed and repeatable. She is a great, great player and it goes to show that even with a few things that need to be changed, you can be a top player if you have the consistency and you put the effort in training yourself.

This gold level coach doesn’t seem to concerned about it. She does get the ball into the swing a little late, but she is dropping in on step two. It’s just very a very round motion , which is good.

As I said, she is a great player and she has thrown the ball countless times with this timing so she made it work perfectly. My point was that with better timing all of the physical aspects of the approach are much more aligned and easier to execute. For me as a bowling coach, timing is the first thing to correct and perfect so I give my students a chance to adopt the other elements in a more easy and quicker way.

@@igorhabljak3218 I've just discovered this video and I'm two years late to the party but I've been wondering about the same thing. Her approach is effectively a three-step approach (because her pushaway begins during the second step) and it got me thinking whether there's any advantage to it. Shannon O'Keefe seems to be doing the same thing.

@@baze3SC there is no wrong way. Only easier, more repeatable, biomechanically sounder, and more effective. Her way works for her, she has done it countless times, and she is very good at repeating the same movement. All top-level player always is. That does not mean this is something one should try to emulate, or that this is the way our bodies are built to do it. The goal of a good bowling technique is to make the movements in sync with our bodies, to use as few muscles as possible, yet deliver the maximum power, and to make it as repeatable as possible. One more huge point is that all parts of the technique should take into concern not to cause injuries over time, and while repeating the movements that create elastic tension in our muscles, injuries are sure to follow.

2:45 yes but she is repeating shots that are JUNK.. wrong coach for her.. needs someone who can focus more on not having such a downward release and start creating more lift so her shots aren't hitting the pocket like a marshmallow, height plays huge advantage for power but she doesn't have any
