Wow, I just filed my I-129F on June 20 and got my NOA-1 on July 9. The funny thing is that the NOA-1 actually has the date they received my application as June 24 and the "Notice" date as June 26 (I assume that's the date they prepared the I-797C NOA-1), and the envelope is stamped for July 1. I'm not sure why it took 8 days in the mail. I hope my NOA-2 comes within in 2 months.

Applied on 17 Oct 2024 for K1 Visa, USCIS accepted the case on 21 OCT 2024, we got NOA 1 in 24 Oct 2024 , now im waiting for NOA 2.

Procedures vary, as does which online scheduling service is used by the various consulates. You should ask the consultant or attorney working with you, what the specific procedures are for the consulate handling your case.

It's true, the process is moving fast right now. Because it is an election year? Don't know but I'm happy. For us it was only 4 months. We were expecting to wait for a year. Edited: It was improved in 3 months, not 4 months.

Yes, I agree that politics played a part. Trump had pushed for the USCIS fee increase during his term in office. Democratic controlled Congress blocked it. Now in election year, Biden and his Congress have approved the fee increase. I doubt if that is a coincidence. Politics as usual. At least finally USCIS can hire capable staff and hopefully provide better service across the boards going forward.

While 90% of cases are processed in California, some are dribbled out to other centers, and the average times each center takes varies.

Wait an additional 60 days, then if not arrived contact USCIS directly with proof that your filing fee was deposited, and ask them to find the case and resend it to your address which you reconfirm is in their records.

If you are referring to Manila, they have been very behind and hard to get a time slot recently. They post at random times, and the new available times, get snapped up quickly. Only perserverence and patience pays off to get the appointment.

I believe that the "last week of Feb" cases were placed into a "veteran reviewers" already full inbox, whereas the more recent cases were sent into the empty inbox of new, rookie, reviewers.

"Notice is Action" is what USCIS calls the notices it sends out. They can be receipts, biometrics interview dates, interveiw dates, and approval notices, among many more possibilities

If the trend of faster processing at USCIS of K1 visas continues, then you might pass USCIS in 3 to 4 months. Then the balance of your wait is based on the State Department and the consulate you will be processed at. A reasonable expectation USCIS and Department of State combined is a year till visa is issued.

Let's be honest. You have nothing to do with USCIS being more efficient. As of today 24AUG, USCIS has slowed dramatically. I am at 2.5 months and counting.

There is no requirement to speak English. If you speak the language that is common in the country where the consulate is located, the consulate will have staff that speaks it.

As most CR1's were taking about 12 months at USCIS, it seems you waited too long to request an expedite, as even if you do nothing, your case is just about to be approved soon anyway.

Not for just a general expedite though because me and my wife are getting tired or burned out from waiting. I know how you mean though. I already received the confirmation email from u.s.c.i.s. maximum wait time is 45 days from last week for the interview for me. However, I know how you mean though. No worries.
