great to hear that the frame size changes relative to the boot size on Aeons, having big feet myself frame position makes a big difference to how a skate feels, like on old Cults where the h-block on large sizes was almost under your ankle felt entirely different to a Genesys/SL where the h-block was much more under the front of your foot.

Had the 45° strap issue on my Aeons. I just busted out a sewing needle and some thread, and sewed the strap to the clip. Problem solved. Nice review. Aeons are great skates!

Hey would you mind going into a bit more detail? Just ordered a pair of Aeon 60 XIX's and would love to mess with the straps. I'm putting a buckle on and remoing the 45' strap, but I'd like to see what I can do with improving the straps as a project.

Purchased myself a set of these after your in depth analysis ! as a big guy these fit my feet great and from the very short period i had them on they also felt great, very fast and responsive! Sadly the works skatepark in leeds seems to be facing closure, so i may need to wait for some sunny/dry days to get out and actually give them a run! thanks for this video though! it made me more certain i wanted the Aeon to be my next boot :)

I bought a pair of these and I love them now that I fixed them! If you take out the liner and look at the shell, there is a one inch hole under the ball of the foot! No wonder it was killing me! I found some thin strong sheet of plastic and cut it to the shape of the sole. It was absolutely necessary!!!! They’re nice now...

I have the same issue, it is numbing my whole foot with the wheel pressure on it. What kind of plastic and thickness did you use? The wheel kind of sticks out into the sole, does the plastic sole you added helps alleviate that issue? Thanks.

Cool video Harry, would like to ask about sizing. Did you size up on your Aeon's? Remenber in one of your videos you were trying size 5-6 UK and it seems good, did you had to go a size up as 6 was too small? Trying to decide/understand what size to go for...

Purchased these and the liner seems to be small. I bought an 11-12. Do you have any suggestions b4 I send them back? I really like the skate.

Real shame they don't come with eyelets in the liner. I've got the Aeon 80s and i find cranking down between the top eyelet of the boot and the first eyelet of the liner really helps keep the foot locked back without impeding forward flex, as well as making the liner and boot feel more as one - especially useful when the flippin bolts pop out of the 45 strap cause USD/Powerslide (happened on my imperials too) dunno how to use loctite! Merry Chrimbus boyos!

Well spotted! The pair we are reviewing are actually a sample pair... so the final version actually DOES come with liner eyelets.:-)

If you get to the point of breaking the frame you're due for new skates I dare say. Frames don't really snap like they used to in my experience anyway.

It kinda sucks, but at the end of the day who cares... I like to go out with my friend or alone and just skate, because I enjoy it. If the sport was huge, I wouldn't enjoy it more. You can still buy skates, so you can still enjoy skating.
