Spent almost a day with this and I'm sold..works well, very low latency, was able to free up space as it has a small footprint . I installed it on my laptop as part of my travel rig. I spent the $ 6 and put the full version on my desktop, and this is amazing.. I profoundly recommend both..

Awesome, I have a few UA native plug ins that I can use. Cool that C-Vox can be useful, but still need Apollo. Maybe another noise reduction plugin can be used instead. Then you have channel strip and noise reduction live road kit and any Source Connect session. Only reason I’m holding on to my Apollo is for one plugin..C-Vox. Then I can retire the Apollo completely. Mark you are getting closer. Thanks

Jeff, I'm with you and so far, unfortunately, I haven't found anything that can equal CVox's power aside from using Hush for OSX in post, but yeah, I'm looking for the exact same reason you are.

I was wondering how you would use this with Logic.. That would be cool to use SSL channel strip to compress and eq going in.. I don't see how this would work, I went to the website and no info on his... So, old school way though an aux track if I want to print with a plugin.
@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff4 күн бұрын
Can't you just load it into a plug in slot in Logic and print that? I don't use Logic, so I'm guessing here.
@DapperDanLovesYou13 күн бұрын
Super nifty! I don't know if it's worse in some way, or adds more latency, but Cantabile allows you to do something very similar! They have paid versions with more functionality, but Cantabile Lite (free) allows you to load _several_ plugins at a time. The single biggest difference (seemingly) is that V Player 4 has a built-in recorder, whereas Cantabile is aimed more at "Live Music" and Performance, so you would need to route the audio into a digital channel and then into your recording software.
@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff13 күн бұрын
Thanks Dan. I hadn’t heard about Cantible until today since there’s no Mac version. The $6 paid version of Vplayer lets you use 8 plugs so it’s worth me checking out at some point.
@RadicalRumin14 күн бұрын
I think this is more useful on mac, on windows you'd still need some sort of middleware to allow you to route this as an input into your recording software or voice chatting app after the fact. Mac makes that a lot simpler. Some interfaces have drivers with extra routing capabilities that would make it simpler too. If you're already recording in a modern DAW like Reaper, Ableton, etc though, you just slot your wanted plugins into your track and monitor through them.

Thanks Rumin. Let me know if you ever try the windows version.

@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff So downloading was super easy... I find my plug ins, I open the folders and they are all empty. So.... IDK this is 10 min after I started so i will update when I find a solution.
@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff14 күн бұрын
@@PokeChit I actually had the same issue and after I contacted their support I realized that, on a mac, I was looking in the wrong set of folders. I had been looking at the plug in folder that was in my system profile instead of looking at the plug in folder that resides at the system level. The one in my system profile is just an alias of the root folder. Maybe it's the same on PC? If you run into more trouble, ping their support team since they may have more insight with the Windows implementation.

@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff Ok, wow files are not named as they should be... So Delay with Shops Omni Channel is not to bad, If I put clarity into the extra spot its a full second delay . So dont do that lol. Im sitting outside the booth and it makes it were I could record out here if I had to... Lots more testing to do.

Nice for capturing audio to a source without using a DAW...but if recording into a DAW, we can do the same thing on an input slot. I don't mean an insert on the track being recorded but on the input before the audio is sent by the DAW to the track.. (Found in Logic's environment or expanded mixer, Reaper's input FX, Studio One's input section, Pro Tools, though, would need an AUX track routed to track's input), LUNA is built for this with its unison and record FX inserts.

True. I'm just looking for a solution that doesn't involve me switching from Twisted Wave to something else and I know a few VO people who are looking for a similar VO solution.

I get it, there aren't very many free VST hosts for Mac. On Windows, I know of at least 6 of them that are far more powerful while still remaining very lightweight.

It’s shocking there aren’t more for OSX and what’s really stupid is that Apple has a AU plugin wrapper app built into OSX but it has never worked, nobody knows got to get it to work and there’s no support for it.

I’m looking for a solution that would allow me in real time to apply a compressor desser noise reduction and eq. Would the $6 version allow me to do that? And any advice for the best bang for the buck plugins to use? I’ve been using obs but it gets goofy with multiple tracks I need to find a new solution. Would love to hear your take on a cost effect beginner setup using plugins.
@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff14 күн бұрын
That’s a great question. I feel like the paid version would work, but I don’t know about monitoring latency with several plugs. I’ll have to dig into this but a cost effective chain is a good research project.
