Smart to start off with a simple cube first so we can orient ourselves, and then go to a letter, great tutorial. Just subscribed...

Hey thanks for the tutorial -- would you mind letting us know the voxel size for the final render on your website? cheers

Thanks for the Question. I used .5cm voxel size in the gif animation. :)

Is there any way to smoothen the edges, I use Letter G which has that curvy shape, and edges looks like a steps, any solution for this? :)

Hey, Mitch thanks. Volume edges are sometimes hard to deal with here is an example file on how I clean them up. www.dropbox.com/s/uf7cfs2wdqp9xp1/Volume_Rrefrence.c4d?dl=0 Might also check out Ej's tutorial on volumes: kzbin.info/www/bejne/roOVhqKwpsiXZq8&feature=emb_logo Or HelloLuxx's Tutorial Here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4GWeKqPht-HbLs

is it possible to use this effect on something that has UVs? I have a model I want to do this to, but I cant figure out how to keep the Uv's intact since the volume mesher changes the original geometry. any leads much appreciated.

Hey, thanks for the nice tutorial. Really helpful stuff. What i noticed with the volume builder and mesher is that the edges are always very rough and pixelated. Is there a way to get rid of that? Thanks and greetings from germany

Please, take this as constructive criticism: show us the end result first, before diving in. It's easier to understand the process after we've seen what you're aiming for.

Make sure that you changed creation space to Box (1:25) and check your noise scale and voxel scale.
