Had a 2019 Titanium and had the gearbox replaced, and then had 4 doors and the tailgate replaced due to the rust problem. 13 weeks off the road in total, but at least it was all fixed under warranty without a quibble and Ford gave me a courtesy car for the whole time. Loved it, but after that I really didn't trust it anymore.

@axelfoley1768 Ай бұрын
The actual Jesus Christ isn't rough, he's willing to wipe your slate clean & give you a new beginning & eternal-life after your pathetic life (like all of ours) is over... John 3:36 "He that believes in the Son has everlasting life: and he that disregards the Son shall not see life; but instead, the wrath of God abides on him." And if God's wrath is on you, then you're well-&-truly screwed, with no recourse or way out 😢 Try accepting his offer 🫴 it's about the best news anyone could ever hear.. Mark 16:15-16 "And Jesus said unto them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every person. He that believes and is baptized (submerged in water after repenting & confessing Jesus as Lord) shall be saved; but he that doesn't believe shall be damned." If you think hell doesn't exist watch the KZbin vid... "Pastor spends 23 minutes in hell"

I own a 2015 Trend. The Adblue heater failed at around 80,000km, but thankfully was sorted under warranty. Never had a single issue since. No electrical issues, no rust, nothing. I had an Everest for 6 years. I had plenty of the issues outlined, EGR failures (x2), Ad-Blue Heater, Rust in doors, random electrical gremlins (screen and tailgate), warped wheel nuts, inconsistent and rough transmission shifts and a torque converter that would randomly unlock at highway speeds for a minute or two. Our Ford Dealer was excellent, but any time I went on a long drive I didn't know if it would get me home. Not a pleasant owning experience.

I have an early 2016 Everest Limited (titanium) 3.2, the fist of this generation. I bought it with only 7000km on the clock in 2018. I just hit 50 000km a few weeks and have had no mechanical issues, and no rust issues. The only issue I have had is the tailgate issue, which was compounded by the tailgate being really poorly fitted from the factory. My vehicle is out of warranty so I'll have to have it repaired out of my own pocket. Other than that, this vehicle is exceptional. I have serviced the vehicle every year whether I have hit the distance interval or not, but this long list of problems doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for my next 50 000km though.

It'd be good to ask the owners what their various maintenance regimes have been from an interior perspective. When you reviewed the SK Forester you said the leather was hard, but mine is about the same age and mileage, and I manage to use upholstery protection every 3 to 6 months and it's still about the same as new, maybe a bit shinier, but still fairly soft. This with 190k, would be good to know, is it mainly a long haul cruiser, or a daily commuter, because what hurts the seat bolsters is entry and egress movements, more than necessarily being sat in, so if it's driving a few hundred ks at a time vs 10k, it can make a big difference.

i think they must drive on much harsher roads, and tow alot there in Australia. Agreed, here in the Phillippines, everest are pretty reliable. And the 3.2L engines are not seeing any of major engine failures are repairs as mentioned in the video. So I would like it's because cars here just don't have as hard of a life. Therefor don't have any of the issues they are having in Australia

I rented one for the day to test it. Handled so well but lacked torque. Ended up with a 380 more for its larger engine.

Bought a 2016 BT-50 3.2 manual as a stop gap ute and everytime I drove it I had in the back of my mind that the EGR was going to fail. Once my main car was back I immediately stopped driving it and put it on Carsales 😅

The overheating problems on the gearboxes are generally from user error. I.E overdrive gear whilst towing or wrong gearing for 4WDing.

So sad. In every way, other than the obvious 4wd features that few people who buy them will ever use, a late model Commodore Station Wagon is so much better or even a Mazda 6 wagon. Note: I would include the Falcon Station Wagon as well had Ford not totally neglected it for 10 years prior to its demise.

Some friends in NZ had one of these. Nice to drive but, oh dear, what a reliability nightmare despite regular Ford dealer servicing from new. A new engine (5 cylinder) at just over 100,000 kms was paid for by Ford after some "discussion".
