Surely I'm not the only person that is staring at the imperfections in the blade as he's working on the rest of the knife. It's literally the only thing my brain will allow me to see. I haven't finished the video yet so I'm hoping he sees them before he gets much further into the fit and finish. He's doing great work and I'd hate to see it all throw away. And now I feel silly for even saying anything. He definitely knew what he had in mind and was not concerned with those blemishes.

Can’t say I’m a fan of the way they do canister on this channel at all. Filling it with stuff and no powder leads to all those problems like voids and cracks, which sure you can chase by restacking and forging out again, but that’s just a lot of extra work/unnecessary trouble and doesn’t always work out in the end either.

Using just the chain and ball bearings, i would think there would be a lot of air gaps which would cause a bunch of issues with flaws in the metal. You could never be certain if you didnt have a small pocket under nether the steel
