Thank you so much for the excellent video. I am 49 years old and am about to create my first RPG maker game. I have lots of ideas, but this is surely an excellent way of putting those ideas into a coherent design. I would not have been able to do that otherwise. Keep up the great work, you are one of the best game design content creators on KZbin.

Thanks for this. Not gonna lie, I have been a project manager using Scrum, Waterfall, and Agile and the documentation is the part I dislike the most. I understand the need, but it doesn’t change how much I dislike it. Thankfully, since I am doing this for pleasure by myself, I only have to document as much as I need to so I don’t forget and I have a clear path forward. I do recommend that for people like me, that you don’t go crazy on formatting or detail and not to stress about your design document being perfect. You can develop it as you go. Thanks for this tutorials!

Thank you so much for this video! This really puts some "meat" onto the "bones" of a game I'm currently trying to design! I'm currently using the scrum method for project management. While the mechanics were there to handle concepts like this, it's nice to see sort of a template for what kind of tasks are typical for a JRPG game development flow!

Took me a couple of hours before I found your tutorial. The first one with some actually bearable audio so I'm not distracted from what you're saying. Thank you for the content, can't wait to put it to good use.

I recommend a Version-number right on the first page. It is a living document (as you said) and therefore you need to know if you are looking on the most recent or an old one.

Very informative, but the download link for the example document doesn't work anymore. Any chance you could update it?

I understand this video is old, but I'm going to chance it and ask. If events take place before the start of the game, should they be in the summary before or after the starting point?
@BenderWaffles2 жыл бұрын
I'm confused by what you are asking...
@ATigerShark2 жыл бұрын
@@BenderWaffles An example would be if the protagonist suffered from amnesia and the game was about figuring out what happened to them. Would the summary start at the events that lead to the character losing their memories or where the gameplay starts? I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to a comment on a seven year old video.
