My stance on AI art is that it works best as an idea generator. If you're stuck on how to compose a painting or concept piece, just type in your idea and it'll give you some starting points! I don't think it's a good idea to distribute or sell AI creations at this time because it's never that easy to tell which models "copy" real artists without their consent. So until regulations are put in place, I'm staying clear for now
@otohime8516 Жыл бұрын
AI still needs a more ethical way to be used 100% as a tool, i'm a 3D enviroment artist and would be great to use AI to give me ideas about textures and stylized stuff, but i'm not cooperating with it until they be more ethical about our fellows 2D/3D artists on terms and consents...
@flowersintheditch Жыл бұрын
i was staunchly against using ai because in my head i thought people would only use it to distribute as their own creation which is ethically messed up, but your suggestion to use it as a reference tool makes perfect sense. it would make ai just as valuable and ethically sound

my thoughts exactly, i would 100% use but untill the art and photography it's trained on is used without artist's consent - I won't

Agree, I'm against using generative AI for anything other than generating ideas or answers to questions. That should be their purpose, not replacing human artists. Tbh even when it's used correctly, I can't stand seeing AI everywhere. It's like a damn plague with the way companies are milking AI for profit.

I also lost interest in bts a while ago, I also feel like they helped me when I was going through some things but now I feel like I have grown out of it. The fact that they have gotten so biiiig and successful could also be one of the reasons, cause I couldn't take the fandom anymore. I still like the members and I am grateful for the time and glad that they are successful, but I am just kinda over it. Kpop idols in general are kinda too "perfect" for me or too perfectionized. I really loved kpop and the aesthetic of it all, the dances and everything. I just don't like the fakeness and toxicity of the whole industry. Basically kpop entertainments are selling us a fantasy. Idol's job in Korea is to be a "replacement boyfriend" for teenage girls and busy working women. The same goes for female idols. This is why dating bans exist. If the idol isn't single, the fantasies of "boyfriend" are ruined. It's not healthy, but it's good business.

Evidence of this is the fact that idols post constantly and are always streaming themselves eating or chatting with viewers. I mean i personally still like them but I also never had the feeling they were fake. I was always aware of the limitations of what they can share and to what likelyness their words could reflect reality so I never had this feeling of having a disappointing realisation. Cause I already knew. And I myself never interacted with the toxic part of the fandom or obsess over the industry itself. It doesn't reflect bts. So I don't care for it. But I get why these could factor in to someones opinion, especially if they had such unpleasent experiences as you had. (Why the clickbait, tho. 🙄) I found your experiment with ai very interesting. It seems to be a big topic right now. I really liked the doll heads with the flowers coming out of their mouth/bottom half their head.

@KKURACHAN tbh I had the same experience literally yesterday night. It was over something stupid, really. I commented under a poll that was something along the lines of "which kpop visual is your favorite" or something like that, and then I just wrote a comment about how I don't really think that Jin is the most handsome of bts and this one army literally dragged me, calling me anti, hater and how i use the line "im a bts fan" just to avoid getting hate. Some stans are actually crazy just because I said something a little bit negative. You literally can't have an opinion. It was crazy to read that stuff about me because I'm actually a fan of bts and especially some of their songs.

I was a bts fan since their I Need U era until late 2019, so basically I was there for their rapid climb to fame and their prime years. It was a great ride, but it was also a very immature version of me that was so active in the fandom and now I wouldn't be able to get back into it if I wanted to. I know, I met them in 2021 with Butter and had the same thought. But at Festa 2022, while explaining why they would take a break, RM said that as a group they had lost sense, direction, because the break was planned before covid but they decided to continue with the Dynamite era and whatnot. I unstanned BTS as well a while ago and I have similar sentiments. I also feel like there was a time in my life when I found their music healing and I felt very connected, and I genuinely think there was something magical about BTS that set them apart from other kpop groups. That purple haze eventually dissipated for me in their Dynamite / Butter / PTD era that I found extremely fake and manufactured. I got bullied online and called an anti by Army's on several occasions when I expressed my opinions about them not writing their own music anymore and my overall disappointment in their 2020-21 releases etc. I think the online bullying is a major issue with Army that needs to be addressed. I think it peaked when they went on James Corden two years ago and RM graciously "accepted James' apology" on behalf of Army while James was getting literal death threats over an innocent joke and BTS did nothing about it, they just made fun out of him. To me that was the breaking point. Subsequently I unfollowed everything BTS on my socials. I wish all the best to the members, but I feel relieved that I'm no longer part of it.

same. i dipped in, loved them, then almost immediately dipped out. i was just there for the be album, which felt very authentic and minimal to me, and i loved it. then all their music since was shit, like genuinely just bad. as if they used a pop music generator. the words are meaningless, the music is uninspired, the videos are cheesy, and the goal is to simply go viral. it’s obvious they are tired of being idols and are just churning out anything for money. and their fanbase is at a point where no matter what they release, it will be successful. its so ridiculous

I still love kpop. Like every other genre- it all has my heart. It’s just very strange how these industries basically took “Parasocial relationships” (..a real disorder) and used it for their advantage but multiplied it by 1000 in Kpop. I was never a fan of BTS but I honestly still really liked them as artists. I still really adore them. I can appreciate their every growing legacy from afar. But unfortunately their fandom (like every other fandom on this planet) are insufferable. I think that’s what kept me far away from them when I first heard about them in middle school (now in uni). But I can gladly say I was never a mindless bully just because they were popular. That’s corny. But again. Insufferable fandoms. The majority outweighs the minority..who aren’t crazy/delusional and downright disrespectful towards other artists/people. So I don’t “stan” any Kpop groups, artist, celebrities..hell even presidents or anything (western and asian) lmaoo it’s not normal to be THAT involved unless you’re in school/work for it. Stanning groups and being involved with your fandom will literally give you permanent wrinkle lines and no…not the good ones that come naturally with age. For me, I lost interest because I got into the fan base because of friends. Over time, I realized I didn't form any personal bonds with my friends other than being the fan of the same band bts part. I used to keep up with the fan base, so I had something to relate to and talk about. It was nice but we lost touch soon after we all went to college. And in college I found more people who didn't care about it. I formed way better bonds with them and probably will have them as my friends for life. And I realized K-pop songs just aren't my style. They are cool, tho. I would prefer k drama music more. So bts is now a very specific memory in my life for me. The time I was there also taught me not to idolize anyone. No matter what. Gave me insight on how the whole fandom worked. Also, I just got more busy in college to keep up with anything. Life gets demanding at different times

Oh, and the industry faking stuff. The whole industry brings idols down to an aesthetic. They would just give an aesthetic to a person, and the person has to run with it whether they like it or not. It's all over manufactured. And we see what the company wants us to. At this point, it feels like we aren't even looking at artists, but dolls who just do what companies say and have little freedom is anything to do with their original artistic talent of singing. The parasocial relationship is a whole other thing, which I do think is harmful for both the fan and the idol. Yet it is promoted everywhere to gain quick fans

I also lost interest in them for almost 3 years now...I think it was since 2020 for me, lots of the songs, their albums or other merchandise quality just kept pushing me away from the fandom... But I still can feel the excitement if I see the members, the latest excitement was from seeing Hobie on GDA this year in Thailand, I cried silently hard tho, like my hands were keep shaking😂, but anyway yeahh, still listen to some of their songs, but not that passion about them like how i used to be. I'm more focusing on my life and works now after graduated from the university, hope to see more of your art works in the future as well, let's work on our own life more, please take care. ❤❤❤

Why is everyone so dramatic about BTS. They are my favourite boyband but I honestly couldn't care less if she likes them or not. It's a boyband not a cult

I still like kpop and listen to it. I, however, don't participate and haven't participated in kpop online discourse since 2020. So overall, i have no idea who's doing what, when, how and why. But when i do come across kpop pages and look at the comments, i see growth and maturity. The fandoms have grown up quite a lot. They're still fighting from time to time, but it's gotten better than it used to be. But i want to mention that this whole "idolization/fakeness" argument is very disingenuous. All industries, whether music or movie, are fake and celebrity-praising. So, I find it very hypocritical for one to lose interest in kpop because it's "selling you fantasies" while eating up western content, which is just as fake and fantasy like. But i guess fakeness is bad only when asians do it🤷🏽♀️

There is no need to title the video I hate bts though. Hate is a strong word. How can you hate someone for simply losing interest in them without even meeting them in person?

I kinda got worried when I saw "I hate bts now" in the title lmao not because I don't want people to dislike them but I was just curious if they did anything wrong but I'm glad they're still being respectful. Also, yeah kpop industries and toxic fans are awful :(

These are such gorgeous pieces I love them! Also nice to see you I'm very thankful I found your channel again I'm love your work. I think what makes a face look proper alien like is to not have skin normal colours and have unnatural tones for skin but maybe that's too on the nose. Besides, I really love the directions you took with the inspo, super lush pieces as always!

I'm so glad you're back! We've all missed you, but I'm glad you took time for yourself and self care is so important! I'm kinda done with BTS and kpop as a whole as well. What turns me off the most about kpop right now as I've matured is the whole parasocial relationship and no boundaries with fans. It hurts both the idols and the fans in the long run.

I feel you. I cant say Ive lost interest in BTS but they arent a highlight in my life anymore. I like their content and stuff related to them but I dont think about them every single day like I used to before. And I guess thats just life. We all have to move on from obsessing over people some or other time and liking them shouldnt define us.

I’ve used to tell armies they’d eventually grow out of their interest as I just could tell they hadn’t much besides all the manufacturing of the Kpop industry, they were always outraged but the comments in this video really prove me right
@freya7090 Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah...the situation with K-Pop....I think I stopped listening to new stuff around the end of 2021...? And I think I (almost) completley cut ties with K-Pop when Jungkook performed in Quatar, because his performance reminded me how fake the K-Pop industry actually is. I am really nostalgic for 2nd gen K-Pop. It was awesome that Idols visited each other, or were just having a good time in the crowd when other Idols were performing (best example BIGBANG's performance at MAMA 2013). For me K-Pop used to be made out of so much color, the Idols themselfes had personality and didn't look alike to the way that you can only tell who someone is by a "crazy" haircolor... I am not saying that the industry was better back in the day. There's a lot we do not know about. Things that happened behind the scenes which are sealed behind contracts. But I think the majority of people who started listening to K-Pop during that period of time will propaby agree with some points I mentioned earlier.

As someone who became a kpop fan in 2nd gen, I was never into BTS (I feel too old for the newer gens lol), but the reasons you dislike them are so valid and why I have a hard time with most kpop groups as well. The only one I can stan now is SHINee, since SM lets them have a lot of actual creative input (in every aspect from fashion, the MVs, choreo, and during the recording process), and they're very passionate and stick to their values in their work, so it feels way more real. The companies definitely still control a lot and it's hard to separate Kpop from its toxic and overly-parasocial aspects, so I still have to engage in small doses or it's overwhelming. I've also seen the toxic fandoms in newer gens and feel glad avoiding that all.
