You'd need some more Bus variety. Those are tour buses, not city-bus that can carry twice and more. Also, need to set the roads's lanes so that bus lanes allows only buses on them

For the transit line colours; there is a mod by enkafan called "Auto line colour" that does what is says - it automatically picks different line colours so you don't need to go and change them to make them different all the time. Massively useful for me!!

To be honest, I never really use bus lanes.They are pretty useless. As you can see from the video, busses rarely use the bus lanes. They are mostly used by other traffic, unless you turn on the option in TM:PE that allows only busses on bus lanes. Also, it messes up some crossings if for example a bus needs to go straight ahead from its bus lane and cars on the lane left to it want to turn right. I prefer to use the space for roads with bike paths. They really help traffic.

One small item. All buses leaving the bus depot are forced to turn left, which is fine with only one line, but may become an issue later on. Great video, fun city! And PLEASE make backups before adding mods, we don't want to lose this city!

Nice touch for that island. Yet, especially with the intercity bus hub, I would once again suggest to make the area at the coast, near the hub, ferry Terminal, train station and amusement park a commercial zone. To be precise: two zones, like two parallel roads. One along the coast for tourism, the one behind it for leisure. They wouldn‘t affect the mining village, because of the highway in between. And the noisy stuff is out of the way of the original areas. You can still start a second tourism location on the main island when the big high density stuff starts, but for the time being it would be a nice touch and a way to attract even more visitors. Btw, I would even suggest to replace the offices around the Park (or at least some of them) with tourism commercial, as parks often have hotels right next to them.

The "Industries 4.0" policy is helpful for me when I'm having trouble getting workers in industry areas. Once the city is educated enough, there aren't enough uneducated workers for the industry jobs. Industries 4.0 changes the uneducated/educated ratio for industry jobs.

You forgot the most important pedestrian (& bike) path! One from the top of the first one you put in (at 29:22) across the motorway, and past the passing tracks, to the back entrance of the station. Do it as a tunnel (more realistic?) or as a bridge all the way across (more fun seeing all the people using it :) ). If you give people that direct path it really isn't far at all to get across. Make walking and cycling the quick option and people will use it :)

Everyone comes with his own life experience. Very few cities in Britain have underground railways (tubes, subways, metros... call them what you like) but the country is like a spider web of passenger railway lines. I, for one, miss trams. Buses are for the suburbs and short shuttles, you ride the tram or the underground around a city. I also wonder why he plays with right-hand driving. You can see he still gets briefly confused about in and out lanes of bus stations and factories. For me left-hand driving roundabouts were the hardest to get used to in the UK. Maybe to align himself with US viewers?

The last thing you did in the episode moving that buss stop an stuff. All the people are using that other one because it’s the closest one to the bus hub, so I don’t THINK that they won’t start using the one you moved so much. And please please please add another bus loop going clockwise right next to the one you made going anti-clockwise. And by the way, thanks for all of your amazing videos! MOD SUGGESTION: Advanced Vehicle Options Not sure if you've been across this one (or similar) or if it's been suggested before but, one mod that I think is a good compliment to realstic and manageable mass transit is AVO. And one of the main things it allows you to do is to specify passenger capacity for your public transport options. So, for example instead of a bus having just a 30 person capacity, it can have a more realistic capacity of say 40 or 50 passengers. This can obviously reduce the number of buses on the roads and allow for either more lines with the same traffic or just less traffic with the same lines. Same goes for other mass transit options. It can also allow you to choose the specific vehicle type you want so you could download a double decker bus asset for instance (for more capacity in busier bits of the city) and have that variety in the traffic and further options for managing vehicle/passenger numbers. It's got more options that I haven't even got to trying myself but, I think those are the big features that I used it for.

I agree. There is no way for people in the new area to walk anywhere else. The small national road doesn't allow for walking. I would extend one of those bike/walking paths across the highway to the train station.

Even tho those bus lane roads have red-painted lanes, you have to go through with TMPE and individually set those lanes as the bus only Especially near the new hub, u can see the buses taking normal lanes. And in some instances, there are cars on the bus lane

In areas like this I use TM to forbid truck's going on this small roads. No need to not build road there. Also truck's most use the road with highest speed. So with TM you can regulate the speed on all roads if needed. Just a fantastic mod :)

I have a suggestion for the university residential are, you could do a clockwise and counterclockwise line so people would not have to travel to the end of the loop if they could have a much shorter way in counter clockwise direction

That is a really long one-way bus loop, much more people would use it if there was a loop going the opposite direction, that makes the journey much more efficient for many different start / end points of travel

I'm having fun following along and basically creating an exact copy of Tealand. On the couple of high use bus lines I use a 150 passenger bus asset called MAN Lion's City 2018 18-4: Generic and the Improved Public Transport 2 mod to allow changing out the bus types. This way I don't have to bog down traffic with 30+ buses on one line. I used these buses on the University line and the Amusement park line if I remember right.
