Biffa!! Right at @22:24 when you are de-zoning the main road, you could fence up the left side of this main road. This will remove the zoning from it and "give it back" to the residential side. So instead of having 1 square wide house zone, it will go wider up to the fence! It's a vanilla way of dezoning roads since i know you want to reduce the amount of mods you have and this does the exact same thing as the Zoning toolset mod!! Amazing vid!!! Cheers

Great video! I'm loving watching this city develope, but I do have some suggestions regarding your public transport. 1. It's all very well having your train/metro station but you haven't actually set up a train line going to it yet so it's only intercity trains at the moment, and not local trains. 2. Your bus line around the area is in a loop, which is fine, but the loop only goes in one direction, which has 2 issues: a. It's inconvenient; imagine you want to get the bus to just down the road but to do so, you have to go THE WHOLE WAY round the loop. b. It could lead to overcrowding, if they are all relying on just one line. So yeah to solve these issues I recommend having at least 2 lines, a clockwise, and an anticlockwise.

The person who made this map did a fantastic job. Fun fact: the meandering curves in the river is created when a river makes its way across soft terrain, such as former seabed. At first, the water will dig a trench wherever it can, which can create some quite dramatic curves. Eventually, the river will break through in the places where such curves are close together, and will then prefer the shorter, faster route. This will leave the "abandoned" parts with less waterflow, and they may even become separated into little lakes. This isn't particularly relevant to your video, I just felt like sharing a fun fact.
@naerbo193 жыл бұрын
Alright. I noticed this in earlier episodes, but I'm mentioning it here for the first time. The roads you place have been depressed a couple of meters. The reason is a mod on your lower left hand side which only pops up when building roads. It is a small circular icon mentioning a number then m for meter. I.e. "1m". You'll find it to the left of straight road, curve and meander road icons. Also you love busses, but you have already planned a metro from there. You even have the subway tunnel there. If you have traffic problems it might be worth checking. Otherwise excellent video! Would love a zoo! You rarely do zoo's which is a shame as they look quite nice and brings in more life to your city. Also helps with increasing land value.

Hey Biffa, I’ve played this map before, several times actually as it’s a gorgeous map. You’ll find with this map that traffic from the start point (and your main city) doesn’t have access through the primary three way highway junction to the area you are expanding to on the main island (new connections with the spider junction). Similarly, traffic flow is impeded in the other direction. This causes an increase in traffic through the University area, the roundabout and the intersection to the highway. If you update the three way highway junction to enable traffic from all directions to travel in all directions, I hope you will find a great return on your traffic flow 😊
