Hello friends, I've been trying to do this Sealer video for a while. I hope your week is going good. I plan to be back tomorrow with the Mystery Machine Chev panel van. It should be interesting! 🍗🍻

This video didn't go where I thought it was going. :) I'd like to see a comparison of say white, grey, blue, and red sealers with the same top-coat color of blue (not translucent) to see how the sealer affects the same color. Granted you layer on enough top-coat and it'll eventually all get to the same color, but maybe limit it to two layers of top-coat.

Very Cool!!!! I like ALL of the examples. My friends daughter just got a job painting at a Harley Davidson shop in Cleveland Ohio USA 🇺🇸!!! I suggested your channel to her. She's been watching your videos for about 4 months. She's been practicing some of your ideas, on her breaks and at home. Her boss is ALREADY impressed with some of her custom practice gas tanks! She'll be excited to see THIS video, I'm sure. Have a GREAT weekend and be safe out there.

I've been using these on my plastic car models for awhile now! Chris Arpin has been very helpful! The cool thing is using a base close to what the main is. It helps with coverage beyond what you would think. The great thing is when sealer is dry you can Dry sand it and give you the best paint job. Have fun

I wonder what you could come up with using something like a yellow flake over the blue sealer, of a red or blue flake over a yellow sealer, if you have a yellow sealer? Or, perhaps something like a yellow sealer with a blue to green flake fade, or a red to orange flake fade? There could be a lot of possibilities with that, depending on what colors of sealer there are and what colors of flake you could get... I am betting a black sealer would look great under some black flake.

#THANKYOU the difference between little niche KZbinrs and the bigboys and especially in the hobby world is the sponsors are people us the audience are interested in, I was rapped to see these new paints and will be purchasing them and i trust the person selling them bcoz he is in the same hobby so he's opinion is relevant, its hard to trust the big guys who get sponsored by gambling APs thankyou D.R. for your honest review of a relevant product

i really like that the flakes are sized in relation to these smaller cars most auto paints the flakes are for full-sized cars so look huge on diecasts, would love to see you paint on zinc treated car for spectra-flame look, i love Red line paints they are the best but darn you pay for it and the bottles are tiny

Thanks for another great video!! Me and my daughter always enjoy them she’s a big fan , and I stated doing customs after watching a few of your videos, I’m using a airbrush with a .3 needle and I’m having issues spraying createx paint even with reducer and so I wanted to ask you what size needle you use , thanks in advance!!
@DiecastResurrection2 жыл бұрын
Hello I use a .35 needle and I usually reduce to the consistency of milk and then spray at half throttle. Good luck!

Excellent tutorial. My question is would these sealers work as good on plastic model car bodies as it does on diecast? Would you consider a tutorial video on a plastic model body even though you do mostly diecast? Keep these great videos coming.
@DiecastResurrection2 жыл бұрын
Yup they are good for plastic, vinyl, wood etc. Prep your plastic with a red scotch pad and 2 coats of sealer, after 30min lightly scruff with 800 and away you go.
@mattstanislen31652 жыл бұрын
I'm trying to restore a franklin mint 1:24 scale, you did a larger version of the same car but it was hotwheels. Would I be able to use matching touch up paint to repaint it? would i have to use an air brush and if so how would i thin it out enough to run through an air brush
@avengervordred2 жыл бұрын
All the early Datsun's were painted with a lead based red primer before all of the colours were applied over top. It has made matching the lighter colours like the Sky Blue almost impossible, we now used RustKill Red Oxide as a primer. Gets the colour as close as possible.

Aren't candy's supposed to be combined with a uvlc gloss and reduced with 4011?
@christian911GT39 ай бұрын
Hey, I used the same method with the transparent sealer and candy but I added uvls gloss with the candy. The paint started chipping. Not sure what went wrong

How long do you wait in between the sealer and the paint coat?
@brileyhodnett99122 жыл бұрын
Awesome video! Sorry if I just missed it, but did you mix any of this with any type of clear coat or spray clear at the end, or is this glossy finish to be expected with just using a sealer and the candy2o?

I clear coated them all with 2k urethane in the video, just wanted to show off the finishes.

I'm a newb. So, I bought a bunch of different color 6000 Series Autoborne Sealers, plus 4050 UVLS Clear for painting small Metal pieces. Before they arrived. I asked about it in comments of a Createx KZbin Video. Someone from Createx replied: "The 4050 UVLS Clear is their Direct to Metal Primer. It says it on the TDS Sheet." Now I'm bummed cause I just bought all these Autoborne Sealers. I just watched your video using 6000 Series Autoborne Sealers on Metal and now I'm totally confused. What am I missing here?

Hello in the comments...
@davenelson81872 жыл бұрын
Soooo, what’s the difference between a sealer and a primer? Or is a Createx sealer just another name for paint…
@DiecastResurrection2 жыл бұрын
Primer :The first coat of paint applied to a surface, formulated to have good bonding, wetting and inhibiting properties. SEALER: A thin liquid applied to seal a surface, to prevent previous paint from bleeding through from the surface or to prevent undue absorption of the topcoat into the substrate. These createx sealers are formulated to have a strong bond on many types of surfaces like wood, plastic, vinyl, and (galvanized) metal. The word primer typically implies that there is some sort of rust inhibitor for corrosion resistance. These sealers will prime a surface for paint but are not called a primer because there is no protection or inhibitors against rust. Hopefully this makes sense.
