I find myself waiting for Tuesday to roll around. If you like the content of this video find the one of several books by Mike Dunbar. One of my favorites is "Restoring, Tuning & Using Classic Woodworking Tools". I'm not a big reader but enjoyed every 250 well illustrated pages. Once you learn your tools and learn how to sharpen 'em every project is sooo much easier. Thanks to Mike for the continued videos. Even after many years of woodworking and multiple classes, seems I'm still able to learn something new.

Once again, this idea of using skew cuts pops up just like the drawknife video - what a great way to get more from a tool and maximize the way it works! I am so glad you posted these videos, there was a period with no Mike Dunbar urging us to do better work and I was worried I might slip back into sloppy skills. Thanks for posting these videos!

Another fantastic exposition on how to use your tools correctly. While focused on the Windsor chair, these techniques are appropriate for any use of the described planes in the video. One thing I have to ask is how does Mike work in the winter months in his garage - the lack of insulation in his garage walls is very distracting. Especially if you ever took a class during the winter months at his purpose built school, that classroom was very toasty on even the most brutal New Hampshire winter day. I also have to comment on the quality of the videos themselves from a technical standpoint. They are very easy on the eyes and ears. The manic editing techniques so often used by other woodworking channels can be very distracting. I do hope that there will be an episode on sharpening spoon bits and the jack plane blade camber. It has been more than a few years since I last had a reason to sharpen them and I don't have Fred as a fall back option during visits to the Windsor Institute.
