Seems like I read that in the future M1 macs will be able to run iOS apps as long as developers agree to it. Would be nice to be able to run all our favorite ios apps in ableton as an AU.

I sure hope so! Ableton meds to add AUV3 support for them to work, but I’ll be surprised if that doesn’t happen soon.

Hello thanks for sharing. Using in Logic I can confirm the AU works. My understanding from early in is that Ableton doesn’t support the AU V3 format developed for mobile. Another thing you should know is that the app will install for anyone running BigSur, M1 is not needed as Moog made the app cross compatible (instead of us having to side load the iOS app)

Can you control the virtual knobs in the app with the real ones from a controller or one of the newer Moogs?

I know for sure that you can with the standalone app, and I think you have it send through Live as well.

Hi Logan, thanks for the video, I’m thinking of getting a MacBook Pro m1, what are the specs (ram, storage) of your m1, would 8 GB ram and 512gb storage be ok with ableton.

Because Ableton is not running naïve yet , I’d recommend the 16gbs of RAM, especially if you tend to have bigger projects. It’s actually crashed on me a couple of times.

Hi Jacob recently I asked u on IG, a few months of having you macbook pro, do you know if M1 supports without any problems VST by native instuments (like arkhis or mysteria) and heavyocity? Nice video like always man!

Yes! It actually opens within Logic as an Audio Unit. It was acting up a few weeks ago when I recorded this video, but it’s working now.
