I just followed this first lesson, which was excellent! It let me jam for an hour with three of my favourite iOS synth apps together for the first time. King of FM, King of Bass and Hilda. Crazytown! 👍

Super useful - and not just for people starting with AUM, i've been using it since it very first launched but i don't read the release notes every time and i learned several very useful things from this video.

This is perfect. I’ve never understood why AUM was needed but it’s starting to make sense now. 💪🏾. The best advice is that it’s a mixer host, not a daw!!!

Right amount of information, just enough detail… using AUM already, but still sparked some insights 👌🏻 so thanks!

Welcome back Logan. 🙌🏾 I’ve been a subbed to your channel from my other account and I just randomly thought about jumping back into iOS production the other day and AUM is definitely one of those APPS I totally shelf after purchasing it almost 3+yrs ago because I just couldn’t grasp the work around using it and how it all ties in to make sense to me. I’ve watched your old videos more than several times in the past and other content creator’s, and to no avail😂. I give up. So with these new series and reintroduction of AUM, I hope to gain a better understanding and finally make some use of it. Thanks again . 🙏🏾

How could this be used for spoken word backup? Are there suggested setups available somewhere?

Logan - i started using AUM a bit over a month ago, your tutorials and channel have been extremely helpful. Thank you so much. I do have a question (may have missed it somewhere), but - say I don’t have a hardware midi controller and want to use the AUM internal midi keyboard with my synth channels - is there a way to assign the internal keyboard to each channel? That is, i want a complete separate internal midi keyboard assigned to each synth channel - not one keyboard over multiple synth channels where i would have to split the keyboard into sections amongst the synths. Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance - Grey F♾️l 😌

Thank you , very helpful. How can I use a looper app with AUM & a nylon string guitar , maybe a drum app for drums
@MobileMusicMaker Жыл бұрын
I actually haven’t messed with looper much, but I did a video a year or so ask with an acoustic and some other apps. I really like Patterning 2 for drums. Do you have Bias FX? I have a pretty nice setting for my Godin nylon that I can pass along.

Hi! Can you show us some plugins for live vocal singing like auto tune, antares ? Thanks
@TheNimasan10 ай бұрын
Thanks for your video. I did everything you showed here. I also can play the plaugins with the built in keyboard and can also hear them but I don’t get any playback after recording. I enable the record down bellow. I am very new to aum. An absolut beginner. So why is that? Why I am not able to record a loop? Would be great getting some help here. Thx from Germany
@MobileMusicMaker9 ай бұрын
To be able to hear the playback of your recording you have to either create a File Player channel and load it in there or open it in a different app, like AudioShare. Your recordings will be in a folder in the file system in the AUM folder. AUM doesn’t work like a traditional DAW that plays back recorded tracks. There are some apps that let you record that way within AUM, but I don’t use them. I typically record my tracks as a live performance/improvisation, then send the recordings into Logic to mix/master.

I'm interested in the midi feature. I got the app, and it has just sat. I want to do some projects with the midi feature to record synths.

I just bought the Comica Vimo Q4 wireless mic set. It says it has 4 channel audio mixing if connected to a recorder or mixer. If you aren't familiar with it, it has 1 receiver and 4 transmitters. The audio modes are mono, stereo, and quad. I will be connecting the receiver to my iPhone when recording videos. My current issue is that with it connected directly to my iPhone, no matter which audio mode I use, in post production I only have 1 audio channel even though I'm using 4 wireless mics. My question is, does AUM work as a recorder/mixer so I can have 4 individual audio channels from 1 receiver and 4 mics?
@MobileMusicMaker7 ай бұрын
It should work that way. When I run my Focusrite in, I can record several channels individually. Since the receiver has those three modes, is there a settings somewhere to tell out which one to use?
@deadclubparanormal7 ай бұрын
@@MobileMusicMaker the instructions are very limited but I know I’d use the “Quad” mode to record 4 audio tracks simultaneously. My issue is, would I be able to use the AUM app to get 4 audio tracks simultaneously while being able to use my camera app on my phone to record the audio/video. The receiver for the mics would be plugged into my phone which I would use to record a video/audio plus running AUM app so I can get 4 audio channels. Sorry if that’s confusing. I already tried garage band but my issue was that I can’t record the 4 mics simultaneously. Plus it doesn’t work while trying to use my camera app.
@MobileMusicMaker7 ай бұрын
I’m not sure of the camera app will apes AUM to keep running. I usually only mix music on my iPad. But I can give it a test this afternoon.
