Hey mate, here are some ideas from a mining consultant. 1. Move the crusher as close to the quarry as possible. Less transport results directly to much more productivity. 2. Burry the crusher and build a ramp so that the dump truck or a wheel loader can directly feed the crusher. One maschine operation less. 3. Elongated the belt conveyor. They are the cheapest way to transport materials. Also idlers (you called them rollers) are coming with lifetime lubricant. They are meant to be replaced. Yours are worn out. Forget the lubrication with the spray can. Get a few decent ones and they will last for 100 000h. Never forget your job is processing not transport not maintenance.

@FeralDayASMR 14 күн бұрын
Very valid points. He clearly could do those things but has not chosen them. Replacing things that still work tho not optimally like the idlers/rollers would be a waste of money and time. The same goes for the conveyor, where you'd need to look how much fuel and time it would save him and how long it would take to get to spend money back by the saving. Also he explained it in the video why he has not moved the crusher closer.

The close filming you do is just as good as any studio made film, except, it’s real life. The danger is there, your thinking processes, goals, methods. Brother, a two hour video of your work is always worth watching. Like your last well build. There were many separate tasks, methods, trial and error, to get to the goal. It’s fantastic for an old man to witness, and close up! I don’t care how long you film. I ain’t getting out in this snow this winter. I’ll have coffee in my warm house and watch you grind and cheer you on the whole time. You’re better than any sportsball I’ve ever seen. You build, you make it happen, you’re reality.

Innovative and fun to watch. The world needs more industrious entrepreneurs like you. Take part of a day off from your crushing work and make yourself some guards for the belt and the rotating drums/pulleys. We always think we are going to work safe and too often we don’t take time to install basic safety guards. If it prevents one injury to you or someone else it will be well worth the time it takes you.

@Arnthorg some last forever, and some seem to go bad quickly. The bearings on his rollers are sealed and maintenence free. This keeps the dust and grime out, but if the seal gets damaged and allows rock dust in, then it goes bad quickly

No, we see what its like to go trough it, but even that is understatement. That jaw does absolutely give two fucks if you are there between, ground up with the rocks or not. It does not even notice such thing but it wont be quick end, but slowly getting your arm or leg mulched into pulp along the rocks that are holding you in there.. on the plus side you are probably going to shock before its more than knee deep and die from blood loss in few minutes, so thats kinda upside of this, but who ever will find you will be scarred to life... so yeah guys dont fuck around and find out with machines like this. Just the setup he has gave me chills and i would not go anywhere near that setup.

I remember, years ago, I sold a 36X48 Pioneer jaw crusher that went to the Caribbean and it came from the Durham, NC area. I saw a Caterpillar 35 ton dump truck dump its load, and the crusher never even hiccuped! There ws so much inertia in the flywheels, they shut it off 1/2 hour before quitting time and the thing just kept crushing rock. What a beast!

Suggestion find another convayor you can adapt to move as needed build a pile move the convayor on a power a few feet and start again save you from moving the excavator back and forth . So just to clearify the main convayor drops in to the extention convayor that can move as needed on its own power . You could end up with a nice stock pile in no time . Awesome video .

Another good video! Even when things go wrong, you remain calm and keep on trying to get things back together. Couple of Questions: 1). You plan to show some of the places you moving the crushed stone too? You show getting stone, crushing stone, but have not shown where it eventually ends up! 2). The conveyor belt rollers all appeared frozen and you had to spend some time to getting them to move again. Is there a way to cover them or protect them so you do not have to spend so much time freeing them up? 3). After it broke, how much effort did it take to partially repair? Seemed it took more time to relocating everything simply to get to were the parts had disappeared too! Love your videos! 🤪
