Why do my effects only work through Bus1 and if I do 2 effects it shrieks loud …

My computer only recognizes bus1-5 and nothing I assign to bus 2-5 even come through my main mix (bus1) I’m so confused

If I go to the part where you turn the effects down through bud 13 that doesn’t work I can only turn them down through bus 1…

The only thing I can think of is you have your tap points set to pre fader. You need to change them to post fader.

Thanks for the belly laugh this morning! Your question has two answers. 1. If you want to assign all your vocals to mix bus 1, then you can assign the FX to affect any audio signal going into bus 1, by assigning the FX to bus one. 2. If you want to assign the FX to a specific channel input into bus 1, then you would use the Sends and Returns feature.

I don't understand the FX channels. I understand you can send the channel to the BUS with it. But, I don't want to take up a BUS. Why can't I apply the FX to the channel and adjust it on that channel? I can see it on the meters but I don't hear an effect.

I am glad you figured it out. FX 5-8 are for inserting channels. FX 1-4 are for sends.

Not like you are thinking. You can do it, but it will be for only one source.

Yes and you would add t into the bus you have the effect added to.

Can you get the combinator FX (multiband compressor) that is on the X32 full size mixer on the X32 rack? The FX description link doesn't show it and I'm wondering if it's possible to get it on the X32 rack. Thanks!

I am running version 4.06 and it is available on the rack. Keep in mind that you have some effects on racks 1 through 4, that are not available on racks 5 through 8.
