Thanks !!! I don't think they will provide anything anytime soon, but I would be cool to get demo version to cover them and then maybe give the synth back to someone who need's. Don't think that is going to happen, so far everything comes out of my pocket and patreons.

Thanks. It is a good synth. Of all the behringer lineup this is the monster, the one that can get you to many places. The other ones are good, but the have a very specific vibe. For example if I need to do 90's or synthwave , MonoPoly is my first choice and then the DM will take care of other parts. If I need good bass, MODEL D. If I want that gritty classic sound, K2. If I am connecting modules, Neutron and Crave are my central pieces. They all have their purpose, but with the deepmind you can make a full record, it can do it almost all.

Thanks man. It is a great synth. If you are a pianist I can recommend this, specially with 12 voices, ASM Hydrasynth as well, the keyboard is great and finally if you are looking for something different kORG Wavestate.
@jjrusy7438
@jjrusy7438 2 жыл бұрын
i endorse XNB's recommendations. the DM12 is the poor man's roland juno, except it has hi-powered digital controls and effects and since you watched the video you see how versatile it is. just the factory patches are mind blowing and there are a lot of them. the wavestate is unique. it makes time based sequences of sequences of wave samples. and it has 4 layers like a baby workstation. i wanted to get a hydrasynth due to the poly aftertouch keyboard and ribbon controller, but i dont like the sound, so i'm waiting for the next generation hydra synth. a 4th synth that is really versatile is the arturia microfreak. now after several firmware upgrades this thing is a beast. watch some vids on it. finally i highly recommend that you download the PDF user's manuals on all 4 of these synths. you will be impressed. happy hunting. synths are great. also consider getting a large keyboard as a controller if you prefer having the full spread of a piano vs crunching arrangements to fit on a 2 or 3 octave synth keyboard with different sized and feel keys. FWIW, i prefer controlling from my 73 or 88 key and i dont like the keyboards that my couple of synths have (i got the DM12 module like he has in this video. it is actually easy to see while live performing because all the controls are stacked vs spread in a long line along a keyboard and i cant be looking for things while playing, no time for it.)

Hey, thanks !! Yeah, sure, I planned this so people can come back later and watch it in parts. I speak a few languages and need to switch constantly, so it's hard sometimes. When a pronunciation sticks it is very hard to make it right. Besides, I am following the script, talking, thinking, monitoring the camera, those things don't help to keep my pronunciation in the right place. But, I don't know, I think the video turned out to be good despite all of that. Thanks for the support, it really helps.

How is the 12D? Im torn on which DM12 to buy
@XNBeatsMusic
@XNBeatsMusic 2 жыл бұрын
@@Fraudemusic I bought the D because i have no space. i've got a lot of keyboards so desktop versions are really helpful to me. But if you don't have a good keyboard, and got space, get the keyboard one. You can use it as a midi controller. But remember using analog gear as a cheap midi controller will shorten the life of the synth. So i always prefer to use something cheap as a controller and use the expensive things when required.
@Fraudemusic
@Fraudemusic 2 жыл бұрын
@@XNBeatsMusicThanks heaps, you’ve made this an easy choice. Although I like the size of the desktop version I’ll have to pickup the keyboard version as I have the space, won’t be using it as a controller, and it’s as close to an authentic 106 experience that I’ll probably get 👍🏻

I read Juno, analog and then saw the Prince tag and bought it as soon as I could get the money but if I had seen this video beforehand I would have bought it even faster lol.

It is a great synth really. In my opinion the best of all the Behringer line.

Of course !!! I already scripted and planned it. I am waiting to have a bit of time to record it. It is long, the minilogue can do a LOT.

@@astrarivm I don't think I will do that :S . I like to show you what you can do with something, gear or plugin. You learn nothing from watching a dude showing his expensive instruments or his setup....I've started this because there are a lot of videos out there with people showing off their gear and teaching you nothing. I could show you my expensive guitar collection.....what will you learn from that ? Nothing. Much prefer to show you how to change pickups, or add a treble bleed or how to tune your synth. That is helpful. That is why I don't show my face, it takes more work and it's doesn't make the video about me, it's about the synth and you learning something new :)

@@XNBeatsMusic I feel you. I have my own recording studio. Showing your setup for me is more about vibe, atmosphere and how you use it. Kind of exploration :) I've bought some devices in my studio after watching such videos and very happy with it. Because often I don't even know something exist. But of course I understand your opinion. Thanks for the answer.

Hello XNB, great work, great help. Maybe you could help me because I'm struggling. I can't get it to work in Ableton 11, do you have any ideas on how to proceed? Thank you in advance even if you can't help me. Good luck and more great work.

Great tutorial! I've already got a Roland XP-30. Should I just get the 12D and use the keys on the XP-30, or get the DM12 with the keyboard built in? Which would you do?
@XNBeatsMusic
@XNBeatsMusic 2 жыл бұрын
Oh !!....what a dilemma. When I bought this I had the same issue. I already have good midi controllers and other synths. So the Keyboard version was a problem, because of space. In my case, I prefer the desktop because I can put it wherever I want. But if you don't have a space issue, the keys are nice and having the mod wheel right there is a plus.
@KipCount
@KipCount 2 жыл бұрын
@@XNBeatsMusic Thanks for the reply. For me, I definitely have a space issue. As nice as the all-in-one would be, my setup pretty much dictates that I should get the 12D desktop version. I'm watching this tutorial again because it's so thorough. Seriously excellent.

Yes, still planning that one. Neutron is pretty complete for a small modular synth, son it takes time to order thing and try not to miss too much. But yeah, I am planning it.

These guides are great and give a lot more info than these cheap reviews... you can actually see what the synth can do and what can't! Definietly better than some wanky-youtubers babbling about how "warm", "organic" and cool-shyiet the synth is...

How would I connect this? I have an iMac running logic, using a Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820 as my AI. I want to be able to use my midi keyboard (Yamaha CBX-K 1 XG) as an input to write midi with the D12 in Logic. But I also want to be able to run other sounds from logic --> D12 ---> back into logic. And to use the D12s LFO, ENV... etc. on sounds i make in logic. Maybe through a patchbay too if possible so I could patch it through my other analog gear before going back into logic? Idk if any of that's possible. Can't seem to wrap my head around how to achieve any of it. I dont want to buy the wrong cables either.
