Great show blokes. Model Y looks more like a pregnant rice bubble than a toad

A better analogy for charging is to think of it as a parking lot for lithium ions. If the parking lot is empty the lithium ion can find a park straight away. If the parking lot is 80 percent full it takes much longer for the ion to find a spot. At 95 percent it drives around forever to find a spot.

There is plenty of power in the grid to charge EVs at home. A modern induction cooktop uses same power as a 7kw charger. There is so much excess power overnight it is discounted from 30cents to 8cents and in Australia so much solar it is free between 11am-2pm it is free!

Grid electricity in Australia. Coal fired, 25gW, max 600gWh daily if lucky. Gas fired Diesel fired Diesel ICE Distant renewables Nuclear heat Rooftop PV + BV battery. 660gWh max potential. And the national electrical grid a $TRILLIONS investment that was built over 14decades. Grid owners need $100sBILLIONS cashflow. Grid owners need a ROI, return on investment. Grid owners need millions of customers. Customers with rooftop PV and batteries do not need grid electricity. As cashflow crashes, $kWh increases for the late adopters and the poor people. Government subsidies increase.
