Using the MFA to Measure Corrado G60 Boost

I demonstrate how to measure the boost your Corrado G60 G-ladder supercharger is producing by utilizing the onboard Volkswagen MFA these cars were equipped with.
To activate the MFA boost-test readout:
1. Turn on the ignition
2. Turn MFA to position "2"
3. Hold in button at end of stalk
4. Turn off the ignition
5. Start engine
6. Release button at end of stalk
7. Press button at end of stalk once
NOTES:
The test is best done in 3rd or 4th gear at redline (6200rpm).
MFA = PSI
200 = -23.7
400 = -17.8
600 = -11.9
800 = -5.9
1000 = 0 (Atmospheric pressure)
1200 = 2.9 (Major boost leak)
1400 = 5.8 (Charger is in poor condition)
1600 = 8.7 (Charger would benefit from new apex strips)
1800 = 11.6 (Good for stock pulley)
2000 = 14.5 (Good for 68mm pulley on stock charger)
2200 = 17.4 (Good for 68mm pulley on heavily ported charger)

Thank you for the awesome video. It helped me with my Corrado G60 in year 2022. 3 gear at 6000 rpm it measure 1800 so I guess that is good health.

On a MOTOMETER dashboard you have to cycle the ignition 2 times

What does it mean "C10"? I got "CError"

From what I read it is the 'Test sum of programmed bytes'

'Test sum of programmed bytes' and I know C10 is normal......I have no idea what the error means. I would check all the other values as you cycle through the other MFA settings to see if any are missing.
