When doing this downstream you basically put sh, a little bit of surfactant and add water right. Can you get out of the X Jet more than 2% of sh. If anybody can clarify it please will be very helpful for me thank you.

Every batch mix will differ based on gallons per minute, it's all about experimenting.

Xjet m5 or downstream? I’m new to this. Tried to downstream 7.5sh on house to clean the roof trim prices that had black stuff on them and it didn’t do nothing. Maybe too weak? 10 to 1 injector

Yes batch mix too weak to break down the algae because your machine is adding more water to your mix. Try getting a stronger SH 12-15% from a local pool company. The X-Jet will do the work applying more mix then your standard tip. Be certain to use a surfactant to allow more dwell time on the surface making your product do the work. I use E-Lemon- ator from pressuretek supplies

Was is the reason to use this over softwash 12v setup? I just got my xjet in the mail and am thinking of sending it back and putting a little more in to build a cheap diy softwash setup instead but I’m struggling to find out if having the xjet is worth it or if the softwash can’t do certain things that the xjet can.

I have a 100' of xjet hose (3/8" polybraid) zip tied to 100' of pressure hose on a custom setup of mine but I'm building my SoftWash setup right now. If you have it, I wouldn't send it back. A SoftWash system will let you get a hotter mix on a proportioner since you can essentially turn the water off and spray straight SH if you wanted and everything in between. If you do have the xjet, separate it from the m5, modify it by putting the xjet right on the end on the gun, put a lance after that and put a quick connect couping at the end of the lance. Then you can use the xjet with any tip that allows you to shoot soap. You can put the m5 on a male quick connect fitting and use it when you want. This will reduce the mist and pressure and make the xjet much more usable. The longer the lance, the less mist.

@@leveragelifestyle8581 yup I did that but it kept blowing the xjet hose off. Then I put it back together as it came to do a test and it worked fine. I used it for my roof but it didn’t seem to pull hot enough, or my roof wasn’t bad enough to notice the difference. I’ll have to retry everything. Just trying to get some experience before I go do it on peoples property.

@@stuff_i_liked1815 I can pretty much guarantee you were using a tip that doesn't shoot soap. If the hole is too small it will create back pressure in the gun. That happened to me. There are 2 tips on the jrod you can't use with the xjet. Two are for soap and 2 are for rinsing. I took those off of the jrod.

@@leveragelifestyle8581 yeah. It did that with the m5 funny enough from what I remember. But in the end I’ll retry it all. Other than lugging the bucket, and like you said a lot of folks find that they can extend the hose and still pull checks, that’s the only downer I’ve seen. Also seen lots of folks with the m5 twist/ shooter tip combo. That seems nice too for ds-ing.

there is no specific batch mix protocol with percentage. Start form weak to strong as you observe what works best, stay safe

@@jhurt7977 Using a quality PPE 3M face mask would be necessary if you have trouble breathing. My batch mix is a safe mix, plus I'm still alive after 18 years of Pressure Washing. LOL
