As a Marine myself, I have to say, the pull up has changed in many ways. Some of those numbers up there I can still do, others no way my thumbs could still hold a grip. Tbh though, I didn’t know the negative was how to build strength enough to do your first one. Never had a issue with the P Up. When they had us doing them it was a variation of the butterfly, and allot of them everyday, like hundreds. My rotator cuffs are evidence. That may be why the corps has improved the pull up techniques? Because medicine has come along way, and there are thousands of us old guys with bad shoulders? Semper fi earthlings

First Last I’m not taking away from this guy. He is in 100% better shape than I will probably be able to achieve...but the fact that I can do several L sit pull ups...and then no reps of several of the exercises that were listed as being easier than L sits....that tells me the list is slightly out of order on that particular exercise. Regarding butterflies...I’m not an expert...I will admit that, again. But you can’t think using momentum like that to complete an exercise works the muscles efficiently. Not implying that your muscles aren’t being worked...it’s just that the exercise isn’t worth the time versus the benefit

Butterfly pull-up... I wouldn't recommend. Not only it gives less benefit then a normal pull, the skin of your palm will be ripped just like how when you were a kid swinging on monkey bars, but a 100 times worse. But great video nonetheless, already in recommendation as I subscribed because of this vid, great work :D
@morfeyy-
@morfeyy- 4 жыл бұрын
I guess not really? Cause if you keep training them aside from regular pull ups and keep doing them until failure it would probably help in the long run at least slightly.
@overseer5060
@overseer5060 4 жыл бұрын
@@morfeyy- The butterfly could lead to impingement as it could worsen your shoulder with tendons led to tears by reptitive movements of its shoulder blades. But with continuous practice of this pull-up, your injury would only become severely worse. Even some athletes are affected. The butterfly pull-up is only made (CrossFit) for faster pull-ups. If beginners begun training this pull-up... Well, it only give them a bad time.

I was doing lvl 22 and rope climb without legs for showing off in gym. I had 63kg. Then I got older and wiser. I'm now 90kg and doing the only lvl from video that is worth it... Lvl 3.

It’s strange because I can do variations that are lvl 70+ but I know I’d struggle with some of the lvl 40 variations. For instance, I’m a muscle up guy.

I'm in a similar boat due to rock climbing. Can do the one arm stuff and hangs no problem (plus the dynos at the end), but am missing a bunch of the middle levels that are foreign movements to me such as the toe taps. I feel like I need to go through this whole list now.

Well, level 62 isn’t that bad... would be cool if you could do a video on how long you train per week, rest and each exercices. It’s hard to find a real routine that says everything :)

ive seen the flying bars at work as some sort of outside gym and i was thinking that looks like hard work. missing a bar too. impressive sir. i did a smaller version at a playpark in the uk one arm pull up then leap to higher one. nothing like the flying bars though you did.

@@linusklocker2890 Assassin's Creed Btw i would say the move from assassin actually is imposibble becouse of 2 things, 1 you dont know if there is any place to grab or its flat so you would just fall from 50+ meters tower ( you would just put your life on a bet everytime you do this 😂 ) 2 in ac you couldn't catch this surface with your full hand due to its shape and you wouldn' t be able to control the recoil and just slide off ( Sorry for attaching too much to details😅 )
