These 2 are so technically sound and athletic. I really hope they both remain healthy for a long time. We are going to see a lot of quality tennis matches from them. Even though I want Alcaraz to win on Friday, I won't have a problem with Sinner winning the match. I really admire both players.

Crazy to think Alcaraz was only 19y.... Not only because of his skills but mental strength... He missed an easy set point, faced match point when Sinner was dominanting and wasn't shaken by any of that. He kept fighting and trying different things to the end. It's almost like he won because he wanted it more than Sinner.

@z1az2854 ай бұрын
@@kakashihatake1029 why would i? he won the big one that matters, with out playing 3 clay events and reaching quarters in one. that is exactly what novak did last year. its all about the slams. the rest? maybe if you want to chase No.1 desperately, otherwise irrelevant. if Alcaraz can become no.1 by winning slams just like novak did in 2023, even better. also he won a masters 1000. no one cares about ATP 500 or 250 except maybe queens or halle
@kakashihatake10294 ай бұрын
@z1az285 its not all about slams. That's a fallacy created by Nadal fans and then they lost that record too. For elite players, yes 500 and 250's don't matter. But masters titles and World tour finals do. They always did until Nadal fans and media tried to shift goalposts. Masters matter, and outside of IW, Alcaraz has been struggling over the past year in them. He also lost at the USO and AO

This doesn’t necessarily discount the point that Alcaraz played with more power back in 2022. He was also more reckless and made more mistakes. He is a better tennis player in 2024 for sure, but it is also possible that becoming a better tennis player required him to take his foot off the gas at times and play higher percentage tennis. That’s all
