Usually after fingerprints it takes a little over a month to get orientation email. Your process seems different than others.

As of Today Nov 2022, GIS background service for any USPS jobs, states that it takes 4-6 weeks before the background checks are completed! I applied Nov 8th, did fingerprinting on Nov 10th, did the NACI and Moter Vehicle background on the 14th. Now all I have recieved are conditional job offers for all the positions I applied for. I accepted the CCA conditional on Nov 15th! and still waiting.

@@MailmanNick Nothing on my background as GIS hasn't even started Mine. I have had my background check done multiple times since 2008 and most were done with in 3-5 business days always cleared as nothing to find! This is the new norm for Post - Covid lol

My Moter Vehicle check is compelted and done and on the same day I submitted it. whereas, the NACI is under review by the USPS and GIS is waiting to actually run that check. This sounds reasonable to me know lol.

Im in a smaller town of 50kish. Applied for CCA and took the assessment. I passed it but assume others prob made better than an 85. Our area I also assume is alot more competitive for USPS jobs as they arent commonly posted other than RCA using own vehicle. Hoping I get a shot. Thanks for the videos. Hello Nick! I was offered a conditional job offer as a PSE Mail Processing Clerk in my area post office. I completed my NACI about 3 weeks ago and just did fingerprints yesterday. I also completed the MVR before my fingerprints. Just waiting for everything to clear to see if I will be emailed or contacted for an orientation date. Does this mean if everything clears that I have the job? Or do they have me along with several other's waiting in line, and then do they pick the highest score of whoever clears? Even though we receive an offer phase EXT, that doesn't seem to be a guarantee yet until you get an orientation date. I scored 100% on my assessment, however, a veteran who may also have a 100% score with a five-point or 10 point preference can beat me even if I'm on offer phase EXT and my background and everything clears, is that correct?

Applied for CCA about a month ago, at the stage you are in this old vid; just did fingerprinting and waiting on orientation invite now. Would like the chance switch to a closer PO like you had, but the place I have the conditional job offer next town over so not too bad. I was wondering about the Carrier Annex. Applied after my uncle told me I should try it(he’s been working usps for 25+years) and I took the assessment, then got an email with an offer letter( never interviewed so I thought that was weird) took the naci questionnaire after accepting the offer. Now I guess I gotta wait until they tell me to get my fingerprints? I’m wondering why I wasn’t given an in person interview first before being given the job I offer? Hey Nick. After you did your fingerprints, did it take about 4 weeks for HR to get in touch with you? Also, when they notify you they set up a time for orientation. Did they give you like a 2 week notice to know what date that was, or did they say it was in just a few days after letting you know? Just wondering if they give some time so that you can take those days off. Also, after orientation, where you able to start work a few days later, or was it about 2=3 weeks after? Thanks

For posterity sake. Applied June 1. (scored 73 on 474 - no cheating) Accepted conditional job offer on June 10 Fingerprinted on June 18 Then nothing until August 19. Received phone call on unlisted/private number. Said I had a scheduled appointment and to reply back to the email(i never received) by end of day or my application would no longer be considered. No callback number. I called back a number on a previous email about fingerprinting.(never delete any emails). They got me in touch later that day with the person I needed to medically clear me. August 23rd: officially given an orientation date for September 13, due to my 2 weeks notice needed at my current job and the Labor Day holiday. Main office is 1.5 miles away from my house as opposed to 23 miles on original post office on listing. I'm guessing some hiring personell try to line you up with an office close to where you live.

UPDATE: I received an email today..10/1/2022 and was given an orientation date! This is just an entry-level job so hopefully they'll make me a mail handler instead of the assistant if I do good. 🤞🏾 My employment term ends 12/30/22. I already have experience and I need something full time and consistent. I applied for the mail handler assistant 08/9/2022 and recieved an email a month later from usps offering me the job. I accepted the offer, took the background test assessment, and went to get my fingerprints the next day. It is now 09/26/2022 and I still have yet to hear anything back. Does anybody know how long the process takes? I checked the usps website and it still says my application is in process and it also says offer phase Ext.

This is odd. The first time I worked at the Post Office it went by all within a month this second time around it's taking forever. Not to mention some of these jobs I applied for aren't available anymore therefore I was offered something else. Because I worked there before there was issues with my EIN, and one of my forms. I did my fingerprints within 90 days so I hope it doesn't take long. I did the background check NACI that same day thr job offer was sent and that too. But I do not recall getting my first job at the USPS take this long. I think its the city where you apply, depending how the necessity is.

it seems like your mission was quick in the hiring process. like 2 months or less. I applied October 24 2021 and took the assessment right away and accept the position, which told me to schedule a finger print appointment in 5 days, but the person i supposed to contact never answer the phone and unable to accept voicemail because the mail box full and i try emailing, but no response and i even went to the post office to speak to somebody, but i wasn't permitted access to the office pass customer service area without badge entry. All this is before i started my background the accept letter and finger print email showed up. So I been waiting for my background results and been trying to contact this person, well, pass that 5 day mark for finger print since Oct 30,2021 and we near thanksgiving now . I don't know if the person sick, on vacation, or just don't wont to pick up the phone because its me contacting her. I even had somebody call for me to see if they pick up, if it was me. I check my status and it say " Offer Phase EXT". Whatever that mean. I dont know if my background is suppose to be complete first before finger print, but I think obviously, im not the only one trying to get a finger print if her mail box full and she don't pick up or not at work with no replacement till her return. I have 2 months of payments left from being layoff from my other job, so i hoping im still on the list and it doesn't take 4 months like other you tubers said in their videos. I wish they will at least notify me personally to tell me if im still on waiting board or reject, so i could look elsewhere for a job. Have you ever receive the status," OFFER PHASE EXT" , If so what it means or what you think it means

On December 2nd I went to an in person job fair to fill out an application and about Week and a half later they offered me the position, I accepted it and filled out the background check and the other assessment questions. I was set to appear at an informational meeting December 16th. I attended it to get fingerprinted and to take my documents. I was told to just wait for an email with follow up information. However on December 23rd, I received an email saying there was an error that needed fixing on my background check. I fixed it ASAP and resubmitted it that same day. Here we are January 11 and I haven’t heard anything. Should I be worried? I have a friend who is a Current CCA and he told me it took him only four days to clear his background check. I hope to get some information back from you

I just received conditional job offer on 2/2/2021. I accepted on the same day. I received email about background check same day. I live on the other side of the country from where I applied to (because of military separation). Will I be able to do my fingerprints in my area or will I have to fly to the area I applied for?

@@MailmanNick I just got a job offer this Tuesday for a Mail Handler Career with benefits. I did all the online background check and accepted the job offer as well. I am just waiting for them to get back to me on scheduling for the fingerprints. I sent the lady and email. But still no reply. Do you know how long that takes ? I don’t want to lose the job because I didn’t get my fingerprints in 5 days.

5-13 filled application 5-14 took test 5-16 consented to motor vehicle background 5-19 took fingerprints, photo, I-9 forms, and accepted conditional offer 5-23 filled out NACI background forms Now it's a waiting game to be drug tested and orientation. So far it has been fast for me. I hope you're in as a CCA brother!

@@stephanieperez4748 so I got an email a day after the 5th day deadline to come in for prints and etc. 6 days later I got a call informing me "congrats and your orientation date is July 19". I filed my initial application on June 7th

They are mostly looking at criminal history, job history, and things like that. Don't worry about it you'll be fine.
