You can get emails from the USPS called Informed delivery. They'll send you images of mail that'll be delivered that day. They'll also let you know if packages are arriving. You can report the missing mail too.

USPS used to be friendly and hard working but now a lot of them don’t care, my mailman has been leaving the boxes open in the neighborhood and the garbage man knocked my door off of my mailbox because the mailman wasn’t closing it 🙄 I called and complained and usps did nothing about it.

Not surprised at all. I've found the USPS to be the worst delivery service. I caught my postal carrier twice not delivering my package, and averted the thefts. Twice, a postal worker has stolen from me. The last was a laptop I ordered. The box was cut at the bottom by a postal worker, the laptop stolen, and the box delivered with the power supply adapter still inside. On both thefts, I filed theft reports with the Postal Inspector General, but no contact or anything was done. I now avoid any business that uses the USPS as their shipper due to thefts within the postal service in my area.

I called post office, no one answered so I immediately crabbed the mail & drove to nearest Post Officer telling Supervisor what had happened. Her immediate response was we can’t accept this mail! Let's State the obvious. No one other than the individual the mail is addressed to should be throwing that mail away. I don't think the individual should have to face prison time but fired yes and maybe fined.....maybe But listen, I'm a city carrier for USPS. The majority of you guys do not know what a city carrier goes through. The post office demands too much from one person. They are probably overburdened. The station manager probably treats them like crap. Like mine usually does On top of that, it was in a ProMaster based on the video they are showing, which tells me he probably has a walking route. I also have a walking route, but I can tell you it's not for everybody. My route can vary from 10 to 14 Mi a day. If they are a CCA, they are probably doing 6:00 to 7 days a week 12 hour days until they reach 60 hours. So you can only imagine what they are going through. The Postal Service needs to reform the city carrier craft in a better way. I don't expect Luis dejoy to reform it into a more reasonable way towards the workers of the Postal Service.

This is quite common in some states. I used to be in a really bad financial situation so I turned to collecting aluminum and plastic recyclables. I stuck to the blue recycling containers and sometimes the dumpsters at my own apartment complex. I saw copious amounts of mail thrown out. I alerted the local post office and it would stop for a few months but then start right back up again! Just re-telling this is making me think “eew!” Even with gloves and a mask it was gross!

Some people in my area, a Milwaukee suburb, have reported checks washed and presented for thousands more than they were written. Awhile back any cards that looked like birthday cards that might have cash never made it to their destination. There is seriously something going on with the mail and I am now paying the extra fees associated with paying bills online, just to avoid my check going through the local post office. I already had most bills on auto pay, paid electronically. But for the cost of a $35 stop pay, I can pay a bunch of $2.50 fees online to avoid any chance of my check going missing, and avoid 68 cent stamps. We have been told to stop putting mail in the blue mailboxes outside of post offices. You can't trust anyone these days.
