Creative Solutions "Glue Looper Ver. 2.0" will become your best friend for doing intricate applications of Super Glue to photo etch parts. Never leaves big blobs. Have been using for a couple years now and highly recommend to guys doing this. Thanks for sharing your build log

Awesome idea. It looks to me like it functions the same way as the nib on a fountain pen. Do you have to worry about the glue drying up between the split in the tip?

@@TheMidwestModelShop- it does dry, yes. but a quick hit of heat from your lighter opens it right back up again.

Michael Lewis No. I realized a while ago some may get that impression because of the name of my shop and the name of the band. "The Midwestern" is actually two of my best friends band. They have been making music for years now. And I wanted something cool that wouldn't get me into any copyright trouble. The guitar player in that band also builds models and follows these videos.

Martin, may I ask why does the Photo etch parts come with the copper color. At first I believed that this was to assist with adhesion of paint which makes real sense to me. However, this specific etched on finish is not used on all the parts.

Can you use boiled water to anneal?

Rich Chel so the average temperature of the blue part of the flame on a candle is 800 degrees Celsius. The red part, is the coolest at around 400 degrees C. My guess, is that boiling water isn't hot enough. However, that wouldn't stop me from trying it if that's your only option. But I doubt it would work. Not to mention, you're probably more likely to burn yourself this way. Safety first.
