There is only one word to describe those stairs: DEATHTRAP! So scary. It looks stylish but sometimes style is not safe.

I'm so glad to see another micro-apartment tour from you, Usui! You're one of my favorite KZbin creators. Here's my opinion of today's apartment: HAHAHAHAHAHA no. 1) Once the washing machine and refrigerator are in place, is there even room to go past them into the apartment? 2) I hate having a medicine cabinet in the kitchen. I don't want to keep my face cream and toothbrush and makeup in the same place where I'm preparing food. 3) Having a closet right next to the kitchen means your clothes will always smell like food. They should have put the washing machine there and made a closet in the living room. 4) That cupboard in the toilet room is in JUST the right spot for you to hit your head every time you sit on the toilet. 5) That ventilator (or whatever it is) on the balcony takes up far too much space and makes an already small balcony so small as to be unusable. Plus the cable is a tripping hazard. Why did they even bother making a balcony at all? 6) Those stairs are far too narrow and steep to be safe. I'd be constantly worried about falling sideways. A ladder would be safer. 7) The loft is nice enough, but it needs more electrical outlets up there to really be usable. 8) If it were half the price, it would MAYBE be worth putting up with everything else. Never at that price. I think this is one of my least favorite apartments! That cafe looks AMAZING, though!
@dinodinozzyАй бұрын
The appliance on the balcony is part of the split aircon appliance. It's very common to see split aircon instead of ducted in Asia generally. The balcony is way too small, agreed. Likely it's only to service the Aircon unit if there's any problem. And hang clothes.

The micro apartment was very claustrophobic since most of the area was the very skinny hallway and the tight spaced loft. I DID like the cat cafe. The cafe's entryway and interior is very old world-fantasy style. I liked that there was such a variety of cats and they weren't forced to interact with the customers which made them so calming since they looked so relaxed and at home. My favorite was the white long-haired cat lying on a high branch. I do love when you show us different places nearby the apartment or just when you take a day trip to unique places to go to see like museums and library and such.

I’m positive I’d fall down those stairs and probably get stuck on the toilet (not sure where I’d put my legs 😂) and I know I’d bonk my head in the loft space and if I didn’t it would be a miracle. The balcony isn’t. Sorry but is a definite no from me. I do love cats and am currently sharing my home with eight of them inside. I think I could make this apartment work for just me. Though, quite small, I could manage knowing that I could visit that cafe every day. There would have to be some sleeping arrangements down stairs for me and I would rig up a basket to raise and lower anything up and down from the loft. Not possible for me to actually carry anything up and down as I would be clinging to that hand rail for dear life. Thank you for sharing Tokyo with us!

Nice to see you again Usui! The apartment is a nice sunny one. It’s a good loft space but I wouldn’t want to tackle nighttime visits to the bathroom down those stairs! I would do without the closet and have a bigger kitchen space. I would use a laundromat and use the washing machine space for more storage/closet space. And if they moved the aircon unit to the other side of the balcony and switched the opening door to the other side, that would give you a wee bit more room on the balcony. 😊 good price too!

Hell to the NO! I do not think that a couple of metal brackets are strong to hold the stairs together. Also, I don't understand how you could get into the apartment if there was a washing machine installed. Plus, you would have to stand in the genkan to load/unload the laundry. It is nice that the AC is partially in the loft, so it is useable in summer. Still, that does not make up for the scary stairs. And a bonus cat cafe!!! Big up vote for cats, and the grey cat looks exactly like my handsome boy, Mik Mik. Thanks for sharing Usui-san.
