hello vijay, i want to do MS in CIVIL ENGINEERING from UTA how can i get scholarship??
@thakkarvijayrajiv7 жыл бұрын
Best option is to reach out to your department to see if there are any scholarships available for new admit. It's very rare to get one before the completion of your first semester. After first couple of semesters many opportunities will open up depending on your grades, research, extracurricular and networking. Reach out to your advisor to check the possibility of options.

SandyRocks Yes, if you have eligible health insurance that meets UTA's requirement which can be found on uta.edu.

Sir, I have admitted for MS in CS for fall 2017 But after seeing the Kansas shooting my parents are worried how should I woo them to let me do my MS ? please help and make new video on this topic . Thanks
@thakkarvijayrajiv7 жыл бұрын
@Sandy Kansas is miles away from Texas and such random incidents happen in every country - including India, so generalizing that USA is unsafe or racism exists is not right. Practicing good personal security and being aware of the surroundings will keep you safe in any circumstances. Don't let random incident define your career and life choices.

Wow! session was nice....Thank you so much for sharing... UTA has now become Tier 1 university ? I got admit for MS in Mechanical on probation with condition of maintaining 3.0 GPA for 1st 2 semesters...what will happen if i fail at it? Can you give me a contact of senior with whom i can discuss about Mechanical courses selection in detail? Thank you in advance :)
@thakkarvijayrajiv8 жыл бұрын
+nikita sukthankar Welcome :-) To be frank "No". We are on our way to become one but not reached there yet. These ratings are dependent on multiple factors and we still have lot of work to do. If you fail to maintain 3.0/4.0, you will have to file petition and request them to allow you to continue education at UTA. But, if you reach a point where you don't have any classes available to improve your GPA, you will be dismissed from UTA and you have an option to transfer to other university or move back to home country. That's the simplest way that I can explain, but there are lot of "if's" and "but's"to think of when the situation occurs.

I Wish to know about full time jobs after doing Ms in CS from UTA ?
@thakkarvijayrajiv9 жыл бұрын
+harsh LANGALIA CS graduates don't face much hardships compared to other graduate students when it comes to job search after graduation. Most of the CS students have something in hand in 3-4 months after graduation.

How is uta for undergraduates in cs? Are students coming to uta from india to pursue their ug in cs?
@thakkarvijayrajiv9 жыл бұрын
+Monil Parekh Yes, UG Students from India do come to UTA for UG in CS. UTA has a very good MS CS program but I am not 100% sure about how it is for UG in CS. Email me on vijay.thakkar@mavs.uta.edu and I will connect you with UG CS students from India. You can also join: facebook.com/groups/utainternational/ to connect with International students at UTA.

Hello. So i am considering to attend UTA this Fall. I have other options too but UTA is the cheapest option i have right now. I am doing engineering. Engineering seems to be ranked well. However, the university is still considered a second tier university. So should i attend UTA or any other universities?
@thakkarvijayrajiv7 жыл бұрын
Sagar Adhikari What other options do you have? Is your score good enough to get you to Tier one? Do you have enough funds or scholarships available to afford certain Tier 1 universities? Do other universities have the same research and quality faculty that interests you? Just ranking and Tier in itself is no good.
@sagaradhikari28117 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. My scores are good enough to get into most universities but not something to brag about. I have other options too.

Depends on what's your focus area. I can refer you few people from Mechanical Department and they can answer your course specific questions. Job opportunities are average.
