Hey man I love to see you interact with players in a different way, like those games a silver league player controlled your micro So I thought of a "challenge" idea Like imagine if this 1v4 it was instead 2v4. You would have the help of a single silver player against 4 others. The catch though, your teammate must survive Something along these lines. I think it would be really fun to watch. This was so fun! I got to be in one of the first games that didn't get shown, and unfortunately had to switch out before these ones. We silvers were in voice chat and were absolutely terrified. We had the plan to attack at 7 minutes and the whole time was leading up to that I was saying things like "ok remember, don't get supply blocked, we're probably gonna lose, but just keep building units!" I love that uThermal does these challenges with the community, one of my favorite creators :)

I have played plenty of SC1 games 25years ago vs friend who was playing it at the "pro level". We have played several 1v7 and there was only one rule: not to attack before X mins. Before we learnt how to play the game we were basicly sitting in our base waiting for him to come and kill us 1 by 1, which we lost terribly. But as we get better we begun to attack and start winning. Almost every game like this is that worse players are afraid to attack early. And as uThermal was saying all he was doing was chaos. Thats exactly what 4players should do. Also in SC2 I have played several games 1v3 and there is always one guy who rushes Carriers or mutas or BC or something which is totally hard counter to any army. And games like this are great training for everyone. thumbs up for doing games like this :)

In all honesty, the easiest way to win as "x" in a 1vx is playing dirty. It won't be fun but it would be relatively low skill required and safe. Now, worker rush is banned, or that would be the simplst and dirtiest way, but there still are others. For starters, you are right, they shouldn't help each other. At most, each player should slap down a bit of static defense in their mineral line so they don't get gimped instantly by a small harass force. Other than that, they shouldn't defend at all. If you attack, they should attack too, a base trade would be in their favor as they have more bases overall, you will lose all your econ/production first. Alternatively, a the way to play is to work together but not necessarily together-together. Joining together for a timing attack can be overwhelming, but it also provides just enough time for you to develop and maybe micro your way out of it. If they stagger their offensive, the early ones merely meant to deprive you of resources to let the others to build up a good army, that might be more effective. In the simplest form, half the player should rush while the other half should go hard greedy.The goal of the rush player is to delay your expand and keep your army occupied so you can't do anything to the greedy players for at least a while. The greedy player can, in the mean time, build a large army and hopefully attack in before you can fully recover from the rush. A combination of two normally bad, high risk strategy can yield good result over each player just playing relatively normally independent of each other(aside from joining together for attack).

I've been out of SC2 for a long time now, but I gotta ask - in game 1 uThermal had just gotten Psi Storm on his Templars when the Carriers showed up and wrecked him - doesn't Psi Storm counter Carriers still? You just sacrifice whatever building they're eating and Storm away all the Interceptors and then your Stalkers can shoot down the neutered Carriers, right?

Fun video but a bit silly. All players can drone rush at 0:00, or reaper rush together, or ling rush together, etc. there would be 0 percent success rate of surviving a coordinated teamwork. No matter how good therm's micro is... but possible if it's against 4 AI or a game in arcade like phantom mode

If you read the intro card it says "One rule, no worker rush".

And that's why there's a rule against that because even Serral can't defend a worker rush. Reaper rush or other kinds of rushes is okay, and there are many times his opponents do that in other games.

I think if the silvers just pooled army at the 5 minute mark and then went full base trade it would be quite difficult for you to kill them before they kill you

I wonder if all of them did a rush together is there anything you can do to defend ? Early Pro vs silver should be the same except silvers have advantage longer it goes on the more scales tip so a complete early rush maybe including all workers could be a gg no ? + they need way less scouting since 4 of the spawn spots are already cleared since they are their spots

I think you oculd do better wit ha terran tank behind a wall. so you can mid game, allow you to tactically do more damage, plus it gives you nukes and BC, yomato cannons do well, and marauders marines also are fairly good.... wit hscans you cna easily see a tech swap or an army building... Protoss I would find this a bit harder since cannons are not really great against air... or protoss units, lol.. per cost wise imo... zerg corruptors... hmm I htink zerg would be much easier... since often good zerg players typcially over run other players, and regardless of help you can nydus our, etc.. and by pass defence... hmm
