uThermal i know you read all ur comments, so i just wanted to let you know, that ive played like 4 hours of SC2 when it was released and never touched it after that, it just wasnt for me, ive never watched any content on it. a few weeks back i got one of your videos in my recommended (for what ever reason) and after the first video ive watched i had to sub. Since then ive watched pretty much every video from the past 5 month. i often got no idea of whats going on, or what most of the buildings are called but your videos are so nice to watch. Your commentary allways is amazing and i even watched your videos with friends of mine, everyone is amazed by how good/fast you play while doing such a great informative commentary. Keep up the amazing work!

Sometimes we should study our successes, why? How to make them better. If your going to cheese then build your meta. Hatchery, 2-3 crawlers, queen, inject, spread your creep up ramp, group your spines together to make it difficult to surround. Block opponent in, move up spines and creep and lings, constant pressure, force panic units to come out. Set your rally point on their natural ramp. Keep expanding hatcheries, more workers, more spines, more lings and upgrades.

Something I’ve started to wonder, how many mistakes does your average opponent in these meme series have to make for you to pull these sorta strats off?
@uThermal2 жыл бұрын
This is impossible to answer :P I wouldn't usually consider having slightly worse mechanics or micro a mistake, a mistake feels more like making a strategical blunder. That said my opponents are significantly worse at mechanics and micro, and usually they dont have scouting and reacting down as well. A lot of these cheeses would be very easy to defend for a pro player because they know what to do instantly when they see it. These players don't have the responses down and have to figure out a defense on the fly which is way harder.

I've really been enjoying watching you experiment given your skill and expertise. It feels like maybe there's undiscovered potential because metas settle. Like as an optimization problem, the community settles in a local minima because trying to escape it is a losing prospect. But a lower minima might exist if people are willing to take the risks to try it. Something like that happened with a gun in CS:GO where they temporarily drastically reduced its price. With the opportunity cost to experiment with it reduced, my understanding is it found a new place in the game, even after its price was restored.

Enjoying your content a lot. I wonder if you could do a tech switch to grand master. Only building mass of one unit, but every few(5 maybe?) minutes or so you have to start massing another unit. some minutes of mass hellions then some minutes of mass widow mines. But you are not allowed to mass the same unit twice during the same game.

Challenge idea: Turtle Terran to GM. The idea is that you are ONLY allowed to defend. As it gets to late stages of match, you may attack bases but NEVER go in for the kill. (Killing bases might need to happen in fight or flight for resources later) I feel like this would be pain for you and your opponent but definitely entertaining for us 😁
