Utilization of Virtual Visits & Electronic Approaches in Clinical Research

Dr. Adil Bharucha, a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, shares results of his study appearing in the September 2021 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, after a sharp early decline, the enrollment of new participants and ongoing study visits at Mayo Clinic sites (Arizona, Florida, and Minnesota) markedly increased.
