I just saw this on NHK Japan and man what a finish for Pau from Spain leading and never losing the lead for this! I give him props for that and what a way to come back from that upset from 2018 Ultra in Mt Fuji Japan. Kudos to Xavier for keeping his pace despite never catching up to him. Its always awe inspiring seeing the thousands who train real hard to make it to these events and test their abilities to finish it! That crazy temp rise in the mountains definitely took a lot of runners out and some of them I was rooting for to get to the final stretch! I wanna be part of the spectators! So fun! This video was quite the epic production value - awesome!

"And one winner"? Nope, 2 winners. This is 21st century, women's race is just as important.
@Run4Adventure5 жыл бұрын
Hi Andres I totally agree the women’s race is just as important!! That’s why we put lots of footage in the video of the top three women finishers 👍🏻 But at the end of the day there can only be one running (male or female) that’s wins the race overall! Thanks for watching 😀
@tricarnevali5 жыл бұрын
@@Run4Adventure See, that's the point. It's not one race, but one event hosting two different races. One winner for each race. Think as if it was hosted on two different dates.
@Run4Adventure5 жыл бұрын
Andres Carnevali I understand the concept but thanks for explaining 😀 The fact is it’s not on different dates! It’s one race on the same date and time. In the official UTMB results Courtney came 21st and 1st female. I totally agree with you that both the male and female race are as important as each other! @@bpetersson5024 Bip 300 I don't need to go and watch the western States videos! I think I've watched everyone that's been made 😂 Some of these videos have big budgets and sponsors, several camera men filming at the races or interviews before and during the race. This was filmed, edited, sound production by myself and my wife! We had to capture all that footage together because we had one vehicle, we went without sleep for 50hrs so we could capture as much of the race as we could. We then spent two weeks editing the video so we could get it out as soon as we could so people could look back at the race. So I personally think for the resources we had I think we did a pretty good job 😊 I'm wondering have you ever tried to make a short video of a mountain trail ultra with one vehicle and two cameras and no budget??? The next time I make a video about a race I'll see if I can get Christopher Walken to do the voice over 😂 Obviously that's a joke and I actually like getting constructive criticism it's the only way we get better! 👍 Have you watched our short film called The Pirate?
