Hi Monica. I am so grateful to find your channel. It's been about 8 months ago and I've learnt so many things in modelling especially UV mapping. By the way, Is there Any alternative way to UV mapping any other shape like table or lamp which is quite the same as your model. I've been trying to do Automatic UV as you did, but unfortunately it doesn't work well in my model. Can you explain us how to UV map it manually or any other alternative way instead of automatic? Thanks you so much. I really appreciate it

I'm so happy you found my channel! Glad it was helpful! Try deleting your history before automatic uv mapping, it might give you better results. otherwise, you'll have to do it the normal way which is uv map it yourself. I have a whole video series on it! kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5vapYSIqKuYZ8k I hope this helps!

I am a little confused about the Unfold option. Is it similar to automatic mapping?

What's the difference between Sew and Stitch Together?
@AcademicPhoenixPlus6 жыл бұрын
That's a good question! Stitch Together means it will take separate UV shells and sew them together. It will move the UV shell. Sew will just move the individual UV or edge. It will not move the whole shell, so it can stretch out the UVs. It will also sew uvs in the same shell. I hope that answers your question!
