that's civil litigation not criminal law, there's enough there to charge them criminally possibly, involuntary manslaughter on each victim or facilitating manslaughter, the list is long for all those COWARDS, not saying the DA would win the case but the charges and time in jail during pre trial, would cost them their lives or close to it, just in county jail is a death sentence for the COWARDS, something they should be concerned with! not one inmate will give any of them a "pass". They had best stay clear of New York State, we're not so welcoming up here towards Cowards and Traders!

I just watched the entire meeting and can feel the parents and community’s outrage at how this is being grossly mishandled even now! I hope they fire Pete by today! They need to terminate and replace their school police, not just keep them on the payroll and add some more! Also, I’m shocked that the school was offered free new fencing and security and they turned it all down and haven’t done anything at all yet and it’s been 2 months!!! Please do the right thing going forward and act now! The world is watching you Dr. Harrell!!!

I have watched this entire 3 hour video and while it is all so disturbing, a couple of things really stand out to me. #1 That these issues are not just Uvalde issues. The School District in my area is just as sorry as this one. My School Board is just as sorry as this one. Nobody wants to take responsibility and take action on the simplest things. As a parent, I have tried to reach out to the Principals and Board Members to find out why things aren't getting fixed and why simple things aren't getting done and have had no response. Phone calls, emails, and nothing. So this behavior that these "Leaders" are exhibiting is not an isolated thing. This is across the entire US and I hope that the parents that watch this will become more involved in their communities bc these people need to know that we are watching and we are tired of being ignored and hearing excuses. The School Board Director in my district isn't even in his office most of the time. So what are they getting paid to do? #2 In the entire 3 hours I didn't hear even one of those School Board Members say yes WE dropped the ball, WE failed you, and now WE are going to make this right. All they did was pass the blame and point to "the report." Well it's not the reports fault. Its ALL of those people on the School Board. They should have had all security measures in place before any of this happened. I love that the woman brought up the money/accounting situation. Where did all that money go? What are they spending the grant money on? But it's not just the Schools Boards fault. It's also the police departments that were involved and each person who is "in charge" of those departments. They failed. They weren't in charge of anything. Now they all stand around and pass the blame. If other departments arrived and saw that Arredondo wasn't doing his job, someone else should have stepped up and told him to step aside. To hear that the rest of his police force under him tend to just hang out at the high school, well again that reminds me that the SROs in my area do the same thing. They aren't patrolling the halls. They aren't stopping kids from doing drugs in the bathrooms. They aren't stopping kids from hanging out in the locker rooms while they should be in class. So they dang sure aren't going to stop an armed person from walking into the school. It is all so sickening. Noone is taking accountability. Noone wants to ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOBS! & They all pass the blame when it comes time to answer for their INACTIONS. I am going to forward this video to each School Board Member in my area along with yet another email and I really hope that this will open some eyes before another school is affected like Uvalde. Prayers to all of the families. My heart breaks for you all. I can't imagine and there are no words. I am praying that these people will step down and you all get someone in these positions that actually care and do their job. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you to all the speakers at tonight’s meeting❤️. I am a teacher in California and I learned a lot from all of you tonight. My school does many things differently, but we don’t have all the answers, unfortunately. By working together, we can all share what works and what doesn’t. I do know that by allowing young men to buy automatic rifles, we are making all of our jobs so much harder or impossible, police included. I think that the community members that spoke tonight are very on target about what is wrong and what needs to change and I urge the Uvalde Superintendent and school board to listen to you and honor your requests. Someone asked how much your Superintendent makes-according to a 2021 article he makes $170,000 per year and has a two year contract. The board needs to decide if he is worth that or needs to be replaced. And voters need to decide if your board members deserve re-election or not. If you want them replaced, I urge some of you to run for their jobs. We all need to vote in EVERY election because our lives and the lives of our children depend on it!🗳

Thank you for your commitment to our kids. Please be brave enough to be open to facts rather than emotions when it comes to the safety of the young children in schools. My question in response to your comment about young men with rifles would be as follows. In the 80's and 90's, growing up in L.A. I was accustomed to seeing guns in any house I was in. I'm talking mp5's, ak's, m16's with granade launchers. Tec 9's, uzi's, Mac 10's and any other sub machine guns, machine guns and automatic weapon known in the worst conflicts around the world. Including the worst drug battles US, Mx and Columbia and other countries have to offer. We had good parents. We had bad parents. We had good kids. We had bad kids. We had complete families. We had broken families. We had guns everywhere. We could walk into Kmart, Walmart, pawn shops and gun stores and walk out same day with just about any weapon. Yet, no school shootings. Can you explain that? I'm not trying to argue, I simply want to understand why people really think its the guns. If we banned every gun today! That would simply create a black market just like Cocaine.
@brianag9726
@brianag9726 Жыл бұрын
@@jimmyhunt9081 I can’t contradict your experience. I have heard from credible sources that the ban on automatic rifles in the 90’s did lead to fewer gun deaths. Maybe the people you knew with guns knew not to use them due to the ban?

@@brianag9726 Appreciate the conversation. That information on the 90's gun ban is disputed by opposing souces(of course) Truth is, you and I, along with the rest of society live in a life separated from our leadership reality. Are you a bit curious about the other info? We use to have good and bad yet little to no gun control and did not see kids shooting up schools. What do you think may be the factor that introduced us to these incidents? There really can not be a wrong answer but knowing guns can not be illuminated, I can't imagine gun control to be an answer.

@@jimmyhunt9081 I do think the differences in level of gun violence in states where we have stricter or weaker gun laws also shows that gun laws have an effect. I think we have to try to reduce the availability of guns. Countries like Australia and New Zealand have been successful at changing course after a mass shooting. And Japan is doing a lot right-only a handful of gun deaths each year.
@jimmyhunt9081
@jimmyhunt9081 Жыл бұрын
@@brianag9726 I would like to see a study conducted by a Teacher/Parent group that is not funded by the Government that researches how many of these shooters were on some sort of medication. I would also like it to include the parents information. Weather or not the parents of these shooters were introduced to drugs like Ritalin or any other medications used to treat behavioral issues. I know a couple people who were put on drugs during elementary school simply because they were hyper. They had serious issues early on as a result of the medications lasting up to today. Really bad issues. My cousin also took Ritalin during a period of time in elementary school. 2 years of taking it. While he does manage his life on a very thin line and is ok for the moment, he became an animal! Doing some really bad things throughout life.

@@mplscyclist7621 the gun free zone you are referring, Uvalde school, had a bunch of cowards police with guns, don't blame the guns but the cowards not using them...but stopping parents from defending their children while being killed. That said let me educate you. CDC statistics estimate between 500 000 to 3 000 000 lives saved from harm like rape, assault or death every single year, just because of gun ownership mostly by law abiding citizens. Guns in the hand of citizens save lives and we don't see more cases like the Indiana hero because of the gun free zones and strict gun laws , mostly in democrat controlled cities.and states but also in red states like inside schools ,those laws preventing law abiding citizens from carrying guns anywhere anytime to defend themselves and others causing innocent people being killed because they can not defend themselves....so more armed citizens means more criminals being permanent stopped by taking the room temperature challenge ....the best way to eliminate crime......I guarantee you that if tomorrow all gun control laws including gun free zones are eliminated and Constitutional carry adopted nationwide, the number of criminals will instantly start dropping ( literally) until they are pretty much gone.. And I mean permanently gone and meeting their Creator for judgment

Let's focus on this: 376 law enforcement officers from different agencies were there for 77 minutes while children were being massacred; well trained professionals, with powerful weapons some with laser gun-sights, flash-bang grenades, tear gas canisters, and body armor plus ballistic shields, 240 of them from State and Federal agencies including a SWAT team. The BORTAC team is supposedly trained at the level of Special Forces since they must be capable of stopping terrorists at the border. Plus, the door was unlocked and the classrooms have windows. Think about this... unbelievable, right? This was a sample of reality, not a Hollywood movie or TV series.

From top to bottom, every public official whom failed to act thus facilitated and were culpable to the homicide of so many defenseless women and children. Is the State won’t press charges, our federal government needs to step in! In New York we call this legislation “Duty to act” aka common sense!

Listen to the CBS 1and1/2 hour long coverage of the state officials having a trial like event on what happened and from what I heard and you will have to make judgment yourself, it sounds like the police took him as a threat before they showed up to his grandmother's and accidentally shot his grandmother and then chased him to the school where he was trying to get to a public place because the police where shooting at him and he was terrified. Again my observation but the police that sounds like they pit maneuvered his vehicle and he ran into the school scarred for his life. It was stated from the officials said he fired 27 rounds outside the school. What user age kid is allowed to buy $4000 worth of guns and ammo online or has $4000 to buy them. I don't think the kid fired a shot. I think they saw his past domestic dispute and took him as violent, brought the Calvary with a hair trigger and accidentally shot his grandmother then tried to hide it! Why where some talking on phones? They might have told their superior and they didn't want the coverage that a maybe mayor to be, his son and mother might have been accidentally killed by the police and tried to cover it up.

Last year, Gov. Greg Abbott signed over a dozen laws protecting gun ownership, including most notably, House Bill 1927, known as the “constitutional carry” or “permitless carry” bill. Under HB 1927, Texans under the age of 21 can legally carry handguns without permits. This law went into effect Sept. 1, 2021. Other pieces of the legislation made the state a “Second Amendment Sanctuary State,” a preemptive protection against future federal gun laws.

Another issue is them demanding termination like tomorrow. That’s not how state and government jobs work and if the wrong things are done that’s a easy lawsuit to win. That would me their children died and people who they blame will get rich as a result. Imagine if they were this involved before something happened.🤷‍♂️ you may not like it but I am not wrong.

POLICE have NO LAWFUL DUTY to PROTECT "People" or "CHILDREN". (Period!) The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled again in (Castlerock vs Gonzales) Police Serve and Protect the corporate states, NOT the people of the states! Police have no duty to protect the people or our children ... (Revenue officers, not heroes!) Qualified Immunity must be abolished from police officers for proper accountability. - Michael B. Saari for State Senate 2022

I encourage everyone to read the tragic case of the Castlerock Police against Gonzales who killed his children... Police have no lawful duty to protect children according to the Supreme Court! (So, did the police fail the children, or did the people who hire the police fail the children?)

The best thing is for all parents to get rid of all the shooting video games that your kids are playing that makes them go mental and practice it on real humans! Instead get them busy with chores and take them to church!!!

Common sense gun laws would fix this issue. According to the report, the attacker bought his guns and ammo as soon as he turned 18, and attacked the school a week later. We can’t drink until the age of 21, yet we think it’s just fine for an unstable 18 year old to easily be able to wield a weapon of war? Gun laws do matter, and they do make a difference. They would have made a difference in Uvalde.

To everyone : Many Christians don't read the Holy of Bible. Thus they do not know the will of God in the Bible. Jesus is sad.(Book of Bible,Hosea 4:6)"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." And he declares adding, " Not everyone who says to me, "LORD, O LORD, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my FATHER !(Book of Bible,Matthew 7:21-23)

Should be asking the veteran on stage if he thinks sweeping the doorway and clearing the room might have prevented casualties early on? kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZ-npHp9rbShbK8 Ask him what would his military training demanded of the situation in a hostage or live fire situation? Hopefully we can get real answers! Also the commander in charge basically abandoned his post while being on site! Mutiny? In any instance a number 2 officer should have stepped up and took charge! Very sad! And lets not forget to take a deeper look at the weapon sales itself! Are ar15s really needed? One woman boasted of her dads ar15.......but of course it wasnt helpful in stopping this tragedy! Too many guns give people false sense of security! More school officers,higher fences? Really?what about bus stops,or when a shooter decides to to open fire as school is opening or getting out and the kids are locked outside the fence? Or when a shooter decides to follow the last student or teacher in the gate before it is locked! Security is so easily breached with out full on prison style security systems! Secure armed bussing,double isolation gates,razor wire,electric fencing,cameras,control rooms,guard towers! All this and still unfortunately not 100% secure! The problem.....weak gun laws!
