Thanks, Simon...FWIW, Falcon, on 1080p, is very readable and it goes full screen which really helps...You can't get it to go full screen, Simon? If you do it outside your DAW you might... that's how I've been playing around with it today.

+Dana Pearson I know, but the video software can't cope with that size at full resolution as I am using Retina monitors and OpenGL mode in Falcon has to be activated to use it on Retina screens.

lohnt sich der Falcon multi granular modus im Vergleich zu Steinbergs Padshop oder Omnisphere 2's Granular Algorythmus?

+Virtual Riot Auf jeden Fall, Omni ist ja eher ein Witz dagegen und die Falcon Engine kann jetzt auch 8 Grainstreams gleichzeitig produizieren, mit grain offset und etlichem mehr, die HALion engine hat immer noch ein paar Vorteile (längere Grain time) aber Falcon ist schon sehr amtlich und die Modulationsmöglichkeiten übersteigen Padshop/HALion bei weitem.

+duanran007 There is a problem with Camtasia - my video software - and Retina monitors, so I have to zoom in much more to make things readable as in my other videos, but on the big 4k 32“ screen with the full screen captured, Camtasia just fails, the 27" monitor works better.

It's really no problem. Most of my questions were answered by watching your videos. I was able to obtain a used license from someone online, via KVR, which turned out to be a great deal. I have only had time to sit with Falcon for a few hours so far but it has turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made for synths. The quality level is very high. Fun. OK we'll be in touch I'm sure.

Lohnt sich Falcon eigentlich, wenn man den Halion 5 hat? Halion und Falcon scheinen sich doch sehr ähnlich zu sein.

+Martin Mole Klar lohnt sich das, ich liebe zwar auch HALion 5 wegen der granularen Engine, aber mit Falcon lassen sich noch mehr Dinge tun, wavetable synth, physical modelling synth, 2 verschiedene VA synths, FM synth, 2 granulare Engines, IRCAM stretch, der ganze Effektkram mit sehr guter Soundqualität und ein sehr komplexes/gutes Modulationssystem mit beliebig vielen Modulatoren, nicht so eine altmodische Modmatrix wie in HALion mit nur 2 polyphonen LFOs. Jetzt ist Steinberg dran mit updaten :)

+Simon Stockhausen Danke für die Antwort ;) Darüber mache ich mir ja gerade sorgen, daß Steinberg dann demnächst mit einem Update um die Ecke kommt, in dem diese Funktionen enthalten sind und ich die dann doppelt habe. Wavetable habe ich ich unter Anderem im Steinberg Forum unter Featurerequest gepostet. Was ich auch gerne sehen würde wären Vectorsynthese und Wavesequencing, das beherschen weder Halion noch der Falcon.
