It’s easy enough if they do, if CA is anything like here it’s just a 25 question written test, required score no less than 20/25 and a $15 fee to add it. Took me about 25 minutes on a slow day at the DMV.

We use those bolts in the telecom industry, penta socket. Tweekers still manage to get in to hand holes and man holes.

That AEBI Terratrac is a great machine. It looks just like the model TT80 the forestry department has in one of the state parks. They’re basically a mid size 4wd tractor taken apart and mounted on a 4wd telehandler sized chassis and axles. It should have a shuttle shift with a manual transmission behind it and a high / low range box as well, although I think some bigger ones were used a power shift transmission instead. In any case that was a good find!

bolt is from manhole cover or water valve curb box cover. takes a Penta socket. I know this because I bought a flatbed trailer years ago and the previous owner bolted down a warn winch using those 5 sided bolts so that it was difficult to unbolt and steal the warn winch

they are "tamper resistant" bolts. they are common in the water convenience industry. Though with amazon and it's speedy delivery and insane inventory nothing is really tamper proof anymore.

That is a nice set up I've been hauling water with a tri-axle equipment trailer with a 1000 imperial gallon water tank this summer to keep my property watered. It's a baffled galvanized tank thankfully so I don't get the evil slosh problems with it. But it sure is nice being able to haul so much water with it. I'd like to downgrade however to a tandem axle trailer as the tires are wearing quite a bit with it.
