"Stowaway" genuinely might be one of the most disturbing horror segments of the entire franchise. Body horror, alien abduction, the genuine terror of being trapped in space, time dilation, the idea of a painful, agonizing immortality (truly a fate worse than death). This is definitely a franchise highlight. Kudos to Mike Flannagan and Kate Siegel for making such an awesomely horrifying segment.

as someone who has actually really been here since 2017, it's insane to see a kill count on a single movie that's almost an hour long and hosted by three different people (along with a cameo from one of the directors!). seeing the old kill count set was pretty surreal too and just honed in on the fact that dead meat has only grown and gotten better since then. this channel has probably been the only one i subscribed to that has literally never left my life since i found it (i sometimes go months without visiting youtube, but the podcast still keeps me company). i hope you guys just keep getting more opportunities to do what you love doing because we also love watching everything you put out.

24:00 *this is a trope occurance that happens in the godfather films, by the way, although the trope's actual meaning is that when oranges appear, it's a message to the audience telling them not to get too attached to whichever characters are in the scene. Once audiences know to watch out for oranges, it might seem like a spoiler to telegraph every tragic plot turn. If oranges appear before a death, the audience can see it coming.
@Wednesdaywoe19752 ай бұрын
"I saw you, in an orange grove." Apparently John Cusack's character never saw the Godfather.
@mikecabral24202 ай бұрын
Fun fact about this trope, the set designer for the Godfather said this was entirely coincidental. He found a lot of the sets to be a bit bland so added fruit particularly oranges or tangerines to them to add a bit of color and make them more visually interesting. It still works strangely well as foreshadowing since almost all the scenes with them added almost always are connected to one of the assassination or attempted assassination scenes.

I matured since then and even found a girlfriend, we both fell more in love with Y’all and we would watch every upload that came out in the 3 years we spent together. We’ve since split up amicably and my life has become even more tough. I lost my 14 year old baby sister to suicide and am in the process of helping my family deal with slowly losing our mother to cancer as well. Throughout all my struggles in life the Dead Meat team has always been there without knowing it. Each upload giving me a reason to be happy and look forward to the coming days. I want to personally thank the DM team for all they do, each and every unsung editor and script writer, and anyone that helps. Y’all give me my weekly dopamine rush when I see the new kill count come up, and I’ll always hold y’all close to my heart, thank you!💜

Dead Meat outdid themselves with the production and quality of the V/H/S franchise Kill Counts. So impressed and excited for you all to have accomplished this. It is no small feat to make such an entertaining and charming series featuring three different hosts with different presentation styles. The recommendations at the end were also delightful, and I could not wait to watch each of these Kill Counts multiple times. Great work all around, and I can't wait to see what you do next.

I didn't expect Alanah Pearce to get mentioned on one of these films. Way before she worked at IGN and RT, I remember her being the host for Zelda Universe, one of the larger hubs relating to sharing Legend of Zelda news. Her time there was over a decade ago, when I was first started looking at ZU's stuff when I became a fan of the gaming franchise. Feels like a lifetime ago now and I do see her pop up every now and again.
