Useful tutorial, but could have been about 25 percent of the length to cover the essentials. No need to show the Xgen setup (we wouldn't be here if we needed that), or the meandering after you've connected the VrayUserColor node. Good tutorials are concise and to the point, especially without audio to explain what you're doing and why.

I have done it for people who are starting out. Don't worry about details, such as the length of the video. If you review carefully, you will notice that you could have learned something by looking for something else. Greetings!

Maya 2022 vray.... Maya crashes when I apply new created material to an obj.

Every time I link the vray user color data to the vray hair material and assign it to xgen it freezes/crashes. It's got something to do with the Vray user color but I am not sure what; its named the same as the custom shader parameter in xgen. (Im using Maya 2020) Any thoughts?

Solved! plugin xgenVRay.py needs to be loaded! check auto load too
