Hi, I stay in a flat in Bangalore. I love gardening, so I filled my utilities, balcony and corridor full of plants. Soon after, sparrows started coming in, feeding on the plants. After a while, they built nest using my Venetian blinds in the balcony. It's seven years they stay with us. I feed them with thinai and broken rice. Now that my entire four balconies are full of nest. Nearly 20-30 sparrows feed on the the food we provide. It's amazing and interesting to watch them come in groups, making the sweet chirping sound in the early morning time, feel like we are in heaven. They have become a part of our family. They don't have fear when we are nearby. In addition to the sparrows, recently scaly breasted munia, started building a nest in the north east direction of our main door. My family is so happy that a new member is getting added.

We r living in flat. Once a sparrow started building nest in jeans pocket. We felt so bad and made a house with cardboard and stuck on the balcony wall. The sparrow build nest n laid eggs. Its really very nice to watch them eat food n chirping early in the morning. They got familiar with us too. If myna comes the sparrow shouts and calls us. We immediately shove the myna . If there is no food they chirp loudly and wake us up. They become like our family members. Now its third time the sparrow laid eggs.
