Absolutely love the work the FMU team does, and owning a mistake like that earns you guys even more credibility as the best in the business when I comes to boutique exhaust systems! On a side note, as someone who’s looking at purchasing a V10 M6, please let me hear this thing rip. It’s absolutely diabolical not letting us hear this car sing 😂

This is why FMU is elite and oh how I wish there was a shop of this level near me. Obviously there's the fantastic integrity issue here where they own up to the mistake but they put enough faith in the public to put this info out there. Because O.J. knows most people have enough common sense to understand that perfection comes through learning from mistakes.

This very E64 is a neighbor's car - I've had the opportunity of hearing it both pre- and post-exhaust (and had the fun of holding the exhaust jewelry in my hands before it got shipped back with the car for the adjustments necessary for the E64 platform). She has definitely come alive. As for the fitment - hey, if we got everything right the first time, we wouldn't be human, experts or otherwise. Plus, anything can happen between the floorpan of a coupe vs it's convertible counterpart (especially with BMW and their penchant for bolt-in reinforcements between the unibody); glad it all worked out. P.S.: I've been working on my '68 Plymouth and outside the house over the last few weeks, and - even if I'm nowhere near the road - I now can clearly identify when that S85 beast is roaming about. Now all he has to do are those rod bearings. ("...coming up!")

Very nice work that you guys put out. It's a work of art. May I constructively suggest that you add some tube forming capabilities, it appears that you are running up against road blocks in areas that could easily be formed by yourself with a simple press and some dies, even self made. I'd be pretty careful using the test pipe word. Remember what happened to the company Products for Power.

Not the only mistake made here. The second mistake was putting tire shine on the treads of the tires for the sake of a video. A future mistake would be not cleaning it off before handing it over to the customer. On a positive note, the customer remembers more what was done to correct a mistake than the mistake itself. So, good on you for creating a positive memory for this customer. Guaranteed this customer continues to recommend you to others. But, that tire shine 🤦‍♂

lol I literally just went through the video to look and see what your saying. We have a detail shop next store and they spiff our cars so we never have any stuff here for detailing like tire shine. They do look dark but that car was dusty AF before we gave it back to the customer and we had to give it a deeper clean so I know we didn’t touch it. I’m not sure if it’s my editor that corrected the video color or if he drove through oil that was on the shop floor 😂 Probably the second tbh 😬
