V18443 - 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner

One of the sharpest retractable's I've seen!
What a great looking car. The lines, colors, wheels are fantastic. The body is very clean and straight. Custom colors: burgundy metallic and shadow gray metallic work great together. The rims are red, custom hubcaps have painted burgundy details. A big set of radial whitewalls are the cherry on top. It has a great stance too. Up front the big mouth grill and chrome appear to be very nice original. Interior is all redone with a mild 50s custom style. Two-tone pleated seats with matching door panels. Padded dash is upholstered to match as well. All the interior metal and steering is painted the same burgundy. There is a bluetooth stereo in a custom console with 4 speakers. Has seat belt for the rear passenger. It is clean and respectable. The 352 Interceptor runs smooth. Has upgraded Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. The master cylinder has been upgraded to a dual reservoir. Also, it has been upgraded from a generator to an alternator.

Funny only the front windshield is tinted. Rear and side windows aren't. Was tinted glass optional with regards to specific windows?

I think the windshield was the only glass tinted, and for cars with A/C only. If the side glass was tinted, it was very, very lightly done. To my knowledge, there were no tinted options other than the windshield back then. Not like today at all!

@@2mikelim - Well Kudos to Cadillac! Cadillac was ahead in some respects, but well behind in others. Duesenberg had 4 wheel hydraulic brakes in 1921. GM didn't go to hydraulic brakes until the mid thirties!
