Hey Chris, you were in my backyard as I live in Pagosa Springs. I recognized some of where you traveled having been there myself. This why I live here and glad you and Shannon enjoyed visiting.

Another beautiful video. Thank you for bringing us along on adventures I would not be able to do myself today. I'd like to see more of the van going on adventures, too, since I'll likely be buying one in 2 years, not a Jeep (and can't buy both!). Thanks again!

Loved the hiking excursions…perhaps, you’d like to add a bit more of those gems. Also, consider a slight mix of Revel and Orangie for some of us that don’t have Overlander capabilities. Still, if you are committed to doing the same video’s as always, I will be a devoted follower. Thanks for lifting my spirits weekly.

You picked a good time to head up East Fork as I heard they finally did some road maintenance. How was the drive in the van?

Great video and as much as you drive orangy offroad, it gets abused and things needs fixed! Keep up the adventure!

The clarity of this video made me feel I was right there ! What’s the plan for this winter ?
@stlouisarch21622 жыл бұрын
Hitting peak color isn't really based on the exact date, it varies based on factors like summer moisture and first freeze. I've seen the Sam Juans at peak (and with 1.5' snow above 10k) the first week of October, and have seen peak in late Oct. That said, they absolutely nailed it.

First off, I am from Pagosa Springs I am wondering what trail you were on. You should get a ham radio license... it works much better than a cell phone especially in an emergency. Also have you thought about an electric chain saw. WQ9V is my call sign

Wow, $9 a night now for off season camping at a NFS designated campsite? I remember when I was out there 6 years ago, off season camping in NFS designated campsites was free from Colorado to California and everywhere in between.
@GamerNxUSN2 жыл бұрын
Considering a lot of state parks and establish campgrounds are charging $20 and up a night $9 seems like a steal

Few minutes is very accurate … episodes seem to get shorter & shorter … such a shame b/c this channel is awesome

@@Mink_24 as a content creator myself I find 15-20 minutes as a sweet spot for audience retention. I understand his motives entirely
@Mink_242 жыл бұрын
@Minimal-ish, Not looking for hours of “free content” but Chris set the expectation of a 25 to 30 minute weekly video based on his first several years of uploads … look forward to it each week and it just feels over too soon … understand on what you are saying … shorter videos with more frequent uploads are perfect but for a weekly upload up to 30 mins seems good …

Chris must laugh all the way to the bank each week. 795 patreons. Even if they, on average, gave at the 2nd lowest tier ($10), that is $7950 a month. I know a couple of years ago it was higher than that when he used to display the amount. Add in thatch, youtube, amazon, etc. he has created quite the business model. I am still in shock that Patreons of this, and any channel, pay for someones perpetual vacation. Good on the creator, I suppose, for living the dream on your dime. Keep living the dream Chris!
