100%😎 mate. you mentioned upgradeing the diffs.... what parts did you use and where to get from? cheers

The front diff was custom made, its essentially a patrol centre into a landcruiser diff as well as using a variety of upgraded/longfield axles. There would probably be some simpler/stronger options on the market now

How many tomes did you replace the clutch?, what gearbox does that have in it?

Clutch has been good the whole time. The gearbox is from an 80 series landrcruiser, the one that normally goes behind a 4.5L Petrol motor

Tell us about your suspension. How long a coil and shock, what brand, custom mounts or stock locations, valving? Looks supple but stiff when you need it and it the right time
@CagetecRacing4 жыл бұрын
Stock coil locations. We do have a variety of springs with different rates/height etc. we put in for different applications. King bumpstops help a bit, but the big factor is the triple bypass shocks. Down South Motorsport helped out with valving them based on vehicle weights we gave them
@allenjones48624 жыл бұрын
@@CagetecRacing Appreciate the response. I have shopped DS, too. Are they stock coil heights? What were triple by pass shock extended length? There seems to be such great travel yet it does not look that high a lift. Is there a lift?
@CagetecRacing4 жыл бұрын
@@allenjones4862 the shock mounts are custom top and bottom. They are extended. It runs minimal lift. 2 inches at most

Was looking at building one like this for Rally in the USA but would probably have to stretch the cab a few centimeters as the rule here require the main cage to be within the cab. The rear bars can be external but the main hoop and braces would all have to be in the cab behind the seats and I think the stock cab is too tight for that.
@CagetecRacing4 жыл бұрын
Yes, even with the main hoop outside the cab it's very tight. A stretched cab would be really nice
@Mongoswede4 жыл бұрын
@@CagetecRacing are you running the R151F gearbox and if so is there a readily available adapter to mate it to the LS engine?

@Mongoswede4 жыл бұрын
@@CagetecRacing Thanks for the info. All of the FJ80's and FZJ80's this side of the world were Automatics. We can still buy the H55F transmissions brand new which work nicely on the 40 and 60 series but the stock manual boxes for the 80's are all imported from Japan or down under ;)
