But then again BB doesn’t really follow a day and night cycle only changing the skybox after key events which DS3 already does. @@waltersullivan2727 Switching an entire set of baked lightmaps (or worse, blending between two at once for a smooth transition) isn't a trivial matter, especially when RAM is limited. There's a reason why many games with day/night cycles forgo lightmaps entirely and purely rely on real time lighting at the expense of lighting quality since you loose the indirect bounce lighting that pre-baked lightmaps give you. According to them you were supposed to fight different bosses in Firelink Shrine at different times of day, one of them being the primordial serpent *Darkstalker Kaathe* and Pontiff Sullivan, who was supposed to be the last boss apparently. Also apparently the pilgrim butterflies used to flying primordial serpents. I think the worm-like flying creatures shown in your video are primordial serpents. Evidence would suggest this.

My dream game would be a sort of prequel. When the world wasnt all convoluted and distorted. With communities and cities all in their normal places. Maybe your character ushers in the very first age of darkness or whatever. Of course it would probably feel very different from a typical souls game since there would be no hollows yet or crazy god bosses or whatever.. but i think it would be cool.

Its nice to see that epitaphs did eventually come to existence in Elden Ring (those sword cementeries)

Dark Souls II is my personal favorite, so it was very interesting hearing these original ideas. And it just makes me wonder more and more about the world of Souls. What was that city and whirlpool? Where is Drangleic then? How do you get from Earthen Peak to Iron Keep? The world may never know.

I know it's petty, but seeing ds2 have more the art style from DS and ds3 in this vid made me realize I would like the game more had they just done it that way. I understand it's nice to have some different asthetic in the games but I personally love the dark dreary style of 1 and 3. Still a fan of ds2 dont get me wrong, I just think it couldve been better.

I have a little theory. What if the warp chairs that Micolash and his students sit in are very early versions of the lamps. But because they were actually asleep they're phsical bodies died but they're astral forms lived on.

Although I'd love to see a Dark Souls 4 (and we did get a kind of spiritual successor with Elden Ring), I find it hard to justify a new Dark Souls as 3's ending, especially "The End of Fire" ending, feels like a true series finale. A decaying world, finally put to rest.

"It was neither human nor dragon... in sadness, it danced to the royal family." Could be referring to the failed child of Dragons, Ocelot.
@leonlx5645 жыл бұрын
Definitely not, the king loved ocelot and would not tolerate it just dancing to entertain. It also isnt sleeping, especially not in the dungeons, and the ocelots also has nothing to do with the irthyll dungeon. Your just making a random link because ocelots is also a hybrid.

I feel like the corpse/placing bonfire mechanic would have been interesting, but I think the corpse dragging cut scene from the intro you mentioned is possibly actually the Soul of Cinder dragging a bested Undead attempting to link the flame? Just a thought.

I'm convinced that somehow Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodbourne and Sekiro are all related. Somehow. Change my mind (you can't).

It goes demon souls bad ending -> dark souls -> bloodbourne Demon souls good ending -> Sekiro There.

Haven't demon souls so can't say for that. But in dark souls they constantly reference and eastern land which could very well be ashina and marvelous chester seems very much like he'd be at home in yharnam. Plus patches is in bloodborne
