While many people will think this is a joke, or a meme, it is basically the truth. when Football was invented many people started playing it, and not everyone used the same rules, so a name had to be given to the original sport to separate it from the other versions. The name that was given was Soccer, and it was short for Association Football. There are still two other sports that are major and originated from the original Football. those games are Rugby and American Football.

Everything has its drawbacks, sure, but comparing a minor increase in wasted resources to potentially having people die over emergencies they can't afford reveals just how minor those resource concerns should be.
