Jordan, I gotta say, I continue to be impressed. Not by the knowledge that you hold but that you are willing to give that knowledge to your fellow Vets! I know you offer services that you charge for, but you offer so much for free. That's so valuable for our community. Me, personally, am getting close to the 100% mark with the help I've gotten from you and a few others and it hasn't cost me a dime. I appreciate your kindness to help us all. That being said, I do encourage those who are not in the position I'm in, to not me afraid to purchase any of Jordan's services. If what he gives for free on YT is this great, then no doubt you will gain way more. It is worth it, I promise! We Vets need to stick together and I thank you, Jordan, for leading that sentiment.

I filed my first claim and just had my first 2 C&P exams. I won't know how the exams went for another 4 weeks. Your videos are helping me build my next claim for conditions that my VA doctors said said are not service connected even though they started in year 2 of a 7 year career. Thank you!

Jordan is so incredibly talented and has a way to explain this stuff in laymans terms like a caveperson like me can understand it. I am part of his academy and currently at 80% but have a few pending VA claims hoping the VA ends up rating me 100%. Well worth the investment!

So my wife’s medical records were part of a batch that was “accidentally destroyed” and her personal copies are no longer legible due to poor quality (government) ink and paper. She’s tried multiple times to talk to a VA rep to assist with a claim and nobody will help her. I’m 100% and I’m pretty sure she would be at least 70 or 80% if someone would just listen and help. What can we do…her ailments are just getting worse with age? 🤷🏻♂️
@vaclaimsacademy17 сағат бұрын
If she has any military sexual trauma or combat related PTSD, that would be the start, since they do not require proof of the stressor events to win those claims, nor do they require nexus letters. Aside from those two, since her records have been misplaced by the government, her entire claim will be VERY nexus letter dependent. That’s the best shot

Do you have to pay for any of the other doctor-related visits or does the VA do that when you're in the middle of your claims process?

I finally received information from the board of appeals after 4 years. Can someone explain to me what "entitlement to service connection" is? Also, "exam review - not performed, needed from you." Will the VA set up exams for me, or do I have to do it myself?
@davidfinney6855Күн бұрын
From what I’ve seen, you need to get a diagnosis from your doctor. Then as that to your claim to the VA, they have to verify that diagnosis and should schedule a VA c&p exam. You write a personal statement and add that to your claim. Then the c&p exam will be used along with your submissions to evaluate the claim.
@davidfinney6855Күн бұрын
You might need a nexus letter depending on the condition.
@davidfinney6855Күн бұрын
The nexus letter connects your current condition to your service if the condition isn’t already in your records. If a doc says your condition “is as likely as not” connected to your service, that’s what is needed to connect to your service. If you are already service connected, you don’t need a nexus letter.

Great presentation as always. I think the nexus letters are Dr dependent. My Dr won't write me a nexus letter because she said all the info I need is in her notes and the C&P examiner will write the letter. LOL. I know I am screwed before I even begin to submit everything. I'm also not financially able to pay an outside Dr to write one.

Yeah. My last one was such a joke. I got a letter in the mail telling me to show up for a CMP exam. I got the letter on the 10th telling me to show up on the 6th. How ridiculous is that? When I called, they said since I didn’t show up the doctor, just use the information in my medical records and submitted that. I looked at the post date on the letter and it was the fourth.

I have a VA therapist as well. The first therapist, I talked to diagnosed me with “PTSD?” I don’t know if that’s enough. He put in there the code so I think it’s a true diagnosis. There is also a mention of major depressive disorder. My lawyer submitted the claim for major depressive disorder. Will the raters see both and rate me on major depressive disorder, even though it says PTSD?

secondary claims can be won just through the c and p exam and the dr filling out the dbq no? they dont need to provide a nexus but is usual enough information for va rater?
@vaclaimsacademy17 сағат бұрын
I definitely wouldn’t count on even getting scheduled for a C&P exam without a nexus letter for secondary claims, many times you’ll just get a denial letter in the mail straight away

@@vaclaimsacademy fortunately ive had c and p exams for all my secondaries claims ongoing atm. i cannot see dbq with drs notes as it was done through qtc. if denied, would it then be smart to appeal with a nexus?

i had diagnosis, evidence and a nexus letter and I still got denied, I filed a High level review, still denied.
@vaclaimsacademyКүн бұрын
The problem was likely a bad C&P examiners opinion then. A HLR just has another rater reviewing the same bad opinion from that examiner. A supplemental claim would get you a new C&P

A zero percent rating doesn't even make sense
@tonymimi971519 сағат бұрын
It doesn't, but it is a thing. It just means the VA recognizes you have a condition, but it's not severe enough to get compensated. Sometimes those zero percent rating conditions get worse and that's when you capitalize.
