This unit also has the carbon capture filters so there won’t be any black dust collecting on the pipes! I believe the relief valve is included since many of these units are used with the retractable hoses and RF handles. RF handles can malfunction and the valve will of course prevent motor damage. One other thing: the latches can be used to raise and lower the bucket. It’s hard to position and latch the bucket simultaneously.

This is an excellent unit. I have it in my dining room along with my other 240 volt units, close to my 240 volt outlet. Your reaction was amusing when you took it out of the box, yes, it is a beast. When I got mine, I had to carry the box up two flights of stairs to my second floor apartment and then take it out of the box. Since I don't mount my units on the wall they just stand on the floor, so in order to open them, you have to lay the unit on its side and open it that way. Definitely not the easiest thing, this unit was one of the most difficult ones to stand back up. This unit has the motors in series. The sealed vacuum should have been higher, maybe it's because of the relief valve or the fact that you are in a higher elevation but the sealed vacuum should have been around 200. I use the vacuflo utility valve with this unit, works very well, just open the valve and it turns the unit on. When you connect a hose directly to this unit without pipes, the power is amazing. I would always suggest bagged units, Vacuflo also makes cyclonic units but I would avoid those for several reasons. First, emptying one of those is just nasty, you are also required to vent cyclonic units outside and the dust goes through the motor, that's a great way to shorten motor life. I think whoever purchased that unit will be really happy with it. I would have loved to have brought that unit to the convention last year but it is too big. If you connect a turbo nozzle to that unit, it spins really fast.

This is also the same thing as the Dirt Devil DB9000, nothing different. One time I recommended somebody a Vacuflo DB unit but they didn't had a Vacuflo dealer nearby, however they did had a Dirt Devil dealer nearby so it worked out for them. Another thing that I do like about the plastic buckets is they don't ding if you accidentally drop it whereas metal they could. Overall, these Vacuflo units are one of my top three recommendations for a central vac to anybody.

Yes you can. Although I'd be careful with not having too much power in your home, one time a dealer of mine replaced her Beam with a TOL CycloVac and shortly later she called to complain that she's having a harder time pushing and pulling the powerhead onto the carpets. Anyways with that being said, this is what I'd recommend from each brand. MD: F650t, M715h, and S900r CycloVac: 215, 725, and 7525 Vacuflo: DB7000, DB8000, and DB9000

I’ve been interested in Butler central units as some of them have decibel ratings as low as 65db but I’m not certain about how they’re made in comparison to VacuFlo or MD.

What's up with the Hideahose next to the Chameleon, this a display? Now that you have switched to Chameleon you still prefer that over HAH? I just installed Chameleon for a client and its nice, but I find it harder to retract the hose and takes more effort to lock the end to the sealing ball vs just letting the door flap closed.

I was wondering, whats the better option for vacuflo, the direct bag or true cyclonic? I've read some opinions that true cyclonic isnt good with pet hair, and the motors fail after awhile. Others have said true cyclonic vacuflos have lasted them 10 years atleast with no issues. The DBs have better performance but degrade on curves as the bag fills, while true cyclonic doesnt loose power as it fills. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The DB is the way to go. It will maintain its efficiency better than a cyclonic Bagless.

Yes it is. DB stands for disposable bag then the 9000 is the size and motor configuration.
