Nice video, this seems to work only if the gas tank is higher up, mine is under the floor board, Id like to get rid of my vaccum pump, do you have a work around for deleting the vaccum pump on scooters with the low tanks? TY again

can I get rid of petcock and replace with a manual fuel shut on/off valve and block off the vacuum intake holes on the manifold completely since I wont need any vacuum to pull the fuel from the tank anymore?

I have done this same thing on my buggy (2020 Trailmaster 200 XRX with a carburetor on it's engine) and runs great so far but, Is it fine to leave the petcock in the "on" position or will it flood the carb.?

i had mine left on unless I would not use it for a month or so, I would turn it off. U had no problems.

Do I have to reroute the vacuum line or could I simply just plug that vacuum line that comes off the petcock when going to a manual valve either way it should work right

I have an additional leading down to two additional diaphragms for my vacuum system. If I remove this component do I have to keep those lines connected?

once the vacuum petcock is gone you can eliminate any lines that were running to it. Just make sure they're capped off so you don't end up with a vacuum leak.

I second this. This has sat thin my parents garage for many many years. I finally went over to pick it up and my step father had put a new carb on it. The hoses to the carb were all over the place. Can you show us where the lines all lead too?

@@fzebaseball9 left(driver) side of intake manifold and right (passenger) side of carburetor. If you're still using the vacuum petcock then you need a T connection that connects all 3 line together.

I have made the same thing on my buggy but when I connect the vacuum line from the intake to the carburator the engine die. Do you know why this is happening? I had to leave these lines disconnected so the engine can run perfectly

That's very odd, That piece on the side that the vacuum line runs to is the Air control valve, it prevents backfires when decelerating. There may be something up with it.

@@pfun41 I did notice that the engine dies if I block only the line that goes on the intake, I think must be something wrong with the air flux to the carb so. Thank you!

@@Briggsfpv If it only runs with the line to the intake open then you have a major problem with the carburetor, since that open line is creating a massive vacuum leak.

Mine too I put a cut off switch and fuel filter on hose ends after I cut in middle so I can adjust air flow
