This mini yoga exploration invites you to awaken the feeling of the face through making contact with the pressure points around your eyes, ears, and jaw. These are access points to where the vagus nerve connects to the muscles of your face. So, if you tend toward headaches, TMJ pain, or eye fatigue from too much time on screens, try this and follow along with me.

I never thought I could do a massage to myself. I felt so many tingles, so pleasurable. Also, I thing my stomach has quieted and my throat irritation (due to acid reflux) improved too. Thank you! Also, could you make a video where you talk about specific acupressure points for organs, so that one can address one organ specifically?

Hello Dr. Arielle. Just found out about you through the 16th WTS of The Tapping Solution. I loved your interview so much, (I did it 3 x) and I wanted to find out more about you upon telling a friend. To my surprise you have a lot to offer, and a lot resonates with me. Regarding this video about with the Vagus Nerve Massage, it inspires me and motivates me to find out more about the Vagus Nerve and its correlations to the body and/or organs. As a certified Face Yoga Teacher, I think I can implement this, although we do already have what we call Release techniques and also Acupressure massages. But sharing knowledge about the Vagus Nerve is another plus. Will look into your Vagus Nerve Yoga and also recommend to 2 friends who are Yoga Teachers. One of them also joined the Tapping Summit. And also the other couldn't your interview is sooooo good, the tapping is outstanding, and it would be the right thing for my friend's husband ... but they have to come on their own. So on my behalf, and being almost 68 , with my Face Yoga Teaching skills, lately I thought to look at it and teach it more from a therapeutic aspect. Also on the way to become an EFT practitioner. Thank you for you inspiration ... I look forward to join one of your live classes, if I can . With gratitud for what you're doing, Love & Peace from Ibiza, Spain 💖🙏

Amazingly beneficial. I noticed the large intestine points were tender. I do have gut issues, so that makes sense. Thank you for your guidance.

Love this! Gentle and invigorating. I especially enjoy the ear part. My cat also loves it when I gently massage her ears and chin, I wonder if that's because of the vagus nerve? Thank you for sharing these videos!

Such an interesting feeling. Thank you very much. I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience? I'm sitting here afterwards, focusing on some of the sensations. The first thing I really noticed was the heat. It certainly wasn't unpleasant, but that feeling instantly reminded me of shame or strong embarrassment (like humiliation), or like I felt when I was caught doing something wrong as a child. I'm pretty sure I feel the same, or very similar, sensations in those situations (especially the heat in the ears). Once I really started focusing on the heat, it seemed to bring up feelings I associate with shame. I was able to recognize the "trigger" and subsequently brought myself back into a state of regulation. It wasn't distressing, but it was there. I don't know that I have a conclusion or hypothesis as to why stimulating the vagus nerve in this way evoked a felt sense of shame after feeling the heat in my ears, but it was interesting to witness. My comment is primarily an observation (certainly not a complaint), but I welcome any discussion.

Or was it a release? I know I carry a lot of unresolved complex trauma, so could it have been stored memories as opposed to a stimulus / response situation? Just thinking out loud....
