@@ChunmunGhimire-xv8jj damn even 6th graders watching this?? 20 years is a long time and which cannot be completely defined by what you do in your studying years but it depends on various other things. Maybe try documenting each year that would give a pretty nice overview.

I use a pomodoro specifically for times when I REALLY don't want to be studying. So I can tell myself like 'come on 10 more minutes push through so you can work on something else.' Or if I have along session ahead of me (for a big paper or something) it helps me conserve my energy so that my 'productivity time' is actually using my brain at it's best the whole time. I have ADHD, and focus is really hard for me and gets worse when I'm anxious. Also, now I do a lot of co-studying virtually on discord with my friends :) it keeps me going.

I agree that it's not a good idea to write questions instead of taking notes during the lecture. Although, what I did instead was after I wrote all the notes I needed, I converted these into questions in a word document, but didn't write the answers on the next page - so that I have the mental effort to look for the answers in the lecture slides or other resources. However, I'm still honing my studying skills and I would like to know how to study more efficiently. Thank you ☺

My cousin is a teacher, and he can tell when someone is using AI. His main flag is if a student who is a poor writer all of a sudden writes beautifully over night; he checks for plagrism very carefully when he is on a trail At our age, we are too old and cynical for this

Ok so for me, as someone who is currently taking 2aps (it’s the max for sophomores), what I did was come home from school, eat lunch, and depending on how exhausted I was from school I would either change into comfy clothes and start my work, or relax for half an hour to an hour before working. Also I pay attention and ask lots of questions during class so I rarely study at home, except for concepts such as French since it is a foreign language subject. What I recommend - and personally this helped me time manage much better than last year where is was getting less than 5 hours of sleep and didn’t have a good diet - is to relax. Like seriously we put so much pressure in ourselves we need to just take a moment and then start with other stuff. I usually make tea, take a hot shower, read a book or go out grocery shopping with my mom before studying so I have a fixed break between school and home studying. Lastly, you need to have something to loo forward to after studying, like a show, movie, hobby or book you really wanna get to because this makes it even better once you’re finished and you are free to get to that activity. Let breaks come naturally (trust me you’ll know once you need a break) and be flexible with methods of of studying. Another thing I would like to add is that sometimes we need to pick priority subjects. So I would work more for French, APSEM and APCSP than I would for world history, geometry or chemistry. This basically helps you direct your focus and as someone who gets overwhelmed really easily it helps me nitpick what is most important and what I can ignore until I finish the rest of my work. I’ve never used blurting since I hate writing a ton, but I have taught others and that’s been the easiest way to learn. Ok this is getting very long but one last thing I wanna say is to rebel once in a while, it sounds stupid but sometimes we need to stray away and change up some stuff. For me, it’s usually every Wednesday, since I get home from school late my entire home schedule gets pushed back a little and I get done with work later too, in this instance depending on my mood I will just study when I feel like it but I will set an end time so I know when I need to stop for my reward❤ loved the video and i agree, pomodoro isn’t worth the hype, neither is blurting

The pomodoro technique is great when I am memorising in chunks however when I am doing an essay or something along those lines I always find myself feeling rushed and not wanting to lose my trail of thought during the break or just constantly checking the timer hoping for it to magically teleport to break time 😭

I actually really like the blurting technique! Before I knew any methods I was already doing this for my bio notes and it really has helped me! Also since I wrote the notes myself it helped. I’m apart of theatre so this mainly how I memorize anything for my play or any of my classes

I have done blurting for each chapter before. Am not joking. You will need alot of time to get the memory outside of your brain. It took me an hour to active recall a chapter for 70% accuracy. I did not set deadline on each point i had to active recall. Had i spent more time i most likely could have gotten higher accuracy.

Here are my study tips: - make questions and write answers - do notes with abbreviations, bullet points, etc. - do Blurting: read book three/four times before closing it and quickly jotting down everything i remember. - rewrite notes for active recall (only way to help me memorize) I hope this was helpful!

cramming is so ineffective, since your brain only takes in info in 30 minute increments... just cram for 30 minutes, eat dinner, cram 30 minutes, go walk off your dinner, cram 30 minutes, get ready for bed, cram 30 minutes, and go sleep
